My cat's favorite boat?
My handles tend to do the same thing. Most of the time extending both my index finger and my pinky relieves the squeeze.
Not sure if there is much room to make the tote larger on a #4. One of my...
Not much to say, both have rings around the base of the knob, 1929 and later. One has the rib cast at the toe and the heel, started in 1933, one doesn't.
Ask and yee shall receive here are two:
Your welcome, spending other people's money is always fun.
My luck with setting the chip breaker seems to be doing well.
Of course very little difficult hard woods end up in my shop.
You do not 'need' a brace.
A brace is handy for a portable bit driver. Many of the later models including the 2101 have the ability to be used with straight bits. A few of my longer...
Welcome to the Creek. Your profile doesn't indicate a location. Where do you call home?
The 2101 is a great brace. As Mike said, "George's Basement" @...
For me the #1 is easier to use one handed than most block planes. It might be due to an injured right hand. Mostly it works and handles better for me than a standard angle block plane.
The problem may be due to SMC posts being kept forever. In a few short months the links go dead. It also prevents people from listing something on an auction site and then promoting it here.
This is one reason I am reluctant to give advise on electrical problems. For some folks any electrical problem is a "short" no matter what the actual problem may be.
Trying to explain to someone...
My curiosity has me thinking on this. One of the things that has crossed my mind is to make shavings and then steam and form them into the pint containers for holding berries.
I wonder if the...
Item #351457509211 (my best guess, maybe Michael Ray can confirm)
The bidding has very little to do with the actual functionality of this plane. It has more to do with the rarity and bragging...
Glad to here you are okay.
Get rid of any smoker of anything that thinks it is good to empty their pipes or ashtrays into the trash. You don't want to be killed by someone else's stupidity.
It may be well over 23 years since I have been into a McD's. I make my own version of the Egg McMuffin at home now.
The images and write ups are already on SMC. There are a different projects of interest to people. Besides if there are more members viewing here, maybe the advertising revenue will improve.
Bill, can you post pictures? We would all like to see which particular type #71 you have.
My Router Plane is the Sargent equivalent. It has a sub-base and works fine with the LV blades. Without...
Maybe a few guys in the same shop or school used them as thumb rests.
Sometimes modifications to a tool became popular in a region or even a single workplace.
I do not think it is factory installed.
It may be something used for a particular need or maybe a specific type of wood that would need a little deflection to avoid coming straight out of the...
Some of the people working at the Borgs are not there long enough to learn their department. Some not even long enough to learn half an aisle.
What drives me nuts is when looking for packages of...
Mickey D's has never been a choice for me.
I like mustard on my hamburger. Must have gotten used to it at a small chain in the area of my youth called Foster's Freeze.
When ever I asked for...
I would put a small pencil mark on the box and on the stone might mark the high spot.
That way at least you would know if you go the same stone back.
Their stone saw may have a bad track that...
I get this a lot, not necessarily with LN. But then there is east coast time and west coast time. If it is 3:00pm here, they have all left the building and are likely home eating dinner.
A butterfly key (aka dutchman) is likely to do better than epoxy along.
I have used sawdust from the wood being worked to mix with epoxy to match the wood being repaired. Of course this only works...
My father gave me a large Parker vise with holes for 5/8" bolts. None of the Borgs or anyone else local carries that size. Looking on line it wasn't much more to buy packages of 10 for the bolts,...
