I use a felt pad with my wet/dry 400G sandpaper. ( I don't go finer than 400G only because I'm to lazy to order 320G)

the other important part is lubrication, water or Mineral Spirits. I...
I'm with John and go with Ikea boxes and drawers. You can add you own touch on the doors and drawer fronts.

Sunnyside DNA is pretty good. Something around 90% Ethyl Alcohol and very little Methanol.
I'm in Cali, DNA is all I can hope for. Can't buy the 190 proof Everclear here and the 150 proof stuff is...
Using resilient channel or furring strips will help.
If you have the room double up on dry wall with a resilient channel in between to create an air gap. It's how double pane glass reduce noise.

I have an Inca 510 as well. I'm very happy with it.
As for the short bed, I'm planning on building an extension like this.

The Inca Yahoo Group forum has more info on it. ...
The best coarse grinding stones I've used are diamond stone.
The ATOMA-140 or the DMT Diasharp D8XX. They're much better than water stones as they don't wear and create dishing problems. Also they...
Another very good Craftsman saw is the model #22124, one model older version of the Steel city saw mentioned, but come with a Biesemeyer fence (a very good fence)
I assume you're talking about VG10 (I don't know of an alloy named V10).
You right about differences coming from the maker. I've seen both really bad and good VG10 kitchen knives. VG10 is mid...
a jointer plane with a sharp blade is how I'd go.
a short plane like a 4 plane would just follow the waves
I think the hard part about renting a garage would be the electrical. Both in the how to manage the monthly/calcuate cost & supply as most garages maybe a single 110 line.
the softness of the stone does not have anything to do with how fast it cuts. Its more to do with the abrasive and the binder holding the stone together.
I used own the King stone. It's very soft...
I'd do the same and mortise the legs right into the bench.
Here's a good video to explain a simple way to do that.

anyone use the quick tenon method? Seems like a good fast way to create a tenon with out a jig.

+1 on the T9 Boeshield and Paste wax. Works great.
Last week I used my table saw top to glue up large top for a coffee table build. (bad idea I know, but my make shift bench was not flat enough)

Rubberwood (or sometimes called parawood) is often used with cheap import furniture.

I agree an 8k would fit in your set. I'd stick w/ Shapton GS. You'll have the same grit progression (grit rating can vary per manufacturer & lines). Plus the SGS are good stones.

I'm a beginner, but same here. Although one problem w/ rough sawn is the grain in near impossible to see w/ the saw marks.
When in doubt dewaxed shellac :)
Hmm, no love fore Spectrum Supply. They have the cheapest price on Lenox Trimaster and great service to boot.

How did you order the MFT components from Festool. Wasn't aware they sold those indivually
Thank Jay
I would hold of on building a bench and make due w/ a simpler option.
Fine a solid core (office) door on craigslist for < $50 and put it on 2 saw horse.
Skip building lousy bench now and wait...
Waterlox Marine finish would be a good choice also.
But to put a Claro walnut piece outdoors is a choice I wouldn't make. The sun will wear it down and be no good after a few years.
I don't like how the Festool TS75 blades have varying widths. The fewer the blade count the wider the blade.
This makes it hard to switch between different tooth count blades for certain cuts
I'm planning on replacing the 5" impeller cover on the HF DC with a 6" inch bell mouth.
Then I can use 6 inch fittings which I won't have to replace when I upgrade DC
