I have a customer who wants a wooden sign on the cheap. As an alternative to cedar, will pressure treated pine work?

Don't start fabricating the sign until the sign permit is issued.

Made eight of these at 20 bucks each. This was my first try at filling v-carvings with Crian adhesive. Had a problem with pinholes and had to apply adhesive twice. Found that spreading the...
Thanks Jim... good advice
The company sent me samples of what they need. Just a simple 8" X 2 1/4" Corian nameplate with rounded edges and V-carved text filled with white Corian adhesive. They are mounted with a strip of...
I drove up to my Corian distributor to pick up a couple sheets of Gacier White and, for the heck of it, left my business card at the reception desk. I didn't even make it back home when the company...
End of story: I quoted $835.00 for the job; the customer wanted it for $600.00. I told him to look elsewhere.

I've been asked by a candy maker to create forms for custom chocolates. I did some reading online and it looks like the preferred method is to carve a positive on the CNC, then pour food grade...
The chuck on my drill press is falls off... usually at the wrong time. Is there a cure other than epoxying it in?

I just drilled 400 holes using a #47 drill and a split bushing adapter with no problems; BUT listening to Gerry's advice I left the room during the drilling operation.
You can buy split adapter bushings for a 1/2" collet from:
http://www.rlspellmanmfg.com/spellman2/
They have adapters for just about any drill size including lettered and numbered bits. They...
Dan,
Check out Romaxxcnc.com. I have one of their machines and they are very well built.
