My local Lowes carries 6-inch S&D PVC (green stuff) for about 30-35 bucks for a 10 foot section. They also carry an assortment of 6-inch fittings.

About 12 to 14 inches from fence to wall is what I've seen folks mention with the 10/12 inch Bosch Gliders. About 12 inches for the Kapex.
Festool Kapex and the Bosch Glide miter saws would be the options I know of off the top of my head. Expensive though :)
