Nice. Will keep my eyes open for some happy glue. :D
I recently built a workbench from a solid core door. I cut it down to around 27" X 66" and used the cut-offs to double layer the underside giving me a 3.75" thickness. I then added some oak 1X...
I realize this isn't design you are after, but could you use whole LPs then fill in between with broken pieces of random shape or bandsaw pieces to follow round shape.
For that same reason, the last time I used mine was for rails and stiles on my kitchen cabinet doors in 1990. It worked OK but I always felt like I was standing in front of a Cessna 172 waiting for...
Cool! That is going to be one heavy cardboard box!!!
Think of it this way...with all of the other "serious Woodworker" threads popping up, you have started a movement! Arlo Guthrie would be proud :)
On my old Craftsman fence, I would use one hand to push the back up tight to the rail and then use other hand to push down on handle. It helped but I would always measure 2 places against blade or a...
If you want thinner bottoms, just do as he demonstrates near end of video to make boxes. Cut a 1/4" grove in side material, use his tool to cut the "folds" for the sides, insert a piece of 1/4...
Thanks. Shims sound like a good plan. I wouldn't think you would need to adjust very often...just get that perfect outfeed height and you should be good until you rearrange shop :)
That's very nice. I need to checkout the ShopNotes issue and steal some of your ideas :)
Do the screw knobs on the top just secure it in place or do they provide leveling ability to align with TS?
We currently have a down draft range we installed in early '90s that is in a peninsula. Planning to replace it soon by moving to an exterior wall and using a hood. We hate the down draft. It sucks...
I had similar thought about moving fridge to the area where base cabinets are. But, it looks like that isn't a full height wall and has bar attached to it??? Fridge would be better closer to the...
I've heard both Big ORanGe store which leaves out any blue ones and Big Old Retail Giant.
Since you are considering a backer that is fairly thick anyway, you could re-make the panel thick enough to avoid the cupping, 3/4", and then cut steep bevels on the back to give the illusion of a...
Have not seen the Grizzly manual but there is an SAE30 Non Detergent you can buy that is often used for machinery. It is spec'ed for my pressure washer pump.
Check the amps of each motor not what is posted on the saw. More amps is more power.
Might not be most efficient method but I've developed habit of using the measuring tape tool to draw guidelines for moves and scaling if there isn't another object to snap to.
Thanks for posting this topic! The motor for my table saw arrived today and works like a champ.
Just a final follow-up...a new start capacitor didn't help much, if any. After reading a post here where another member ordered a new motor from Grizzly through Amazon I checked their prices and...
That's pretty funny! I think after the 3rd time, the little arm should pop the user's hand like a teacher with a ruler though :D
Thanks for update! That was quick delivery.
I remember my grandmother always had that type of nozzle on her garden hose (or "hose pipe" as we say here in South :) ). Early this spring, I needed a new nozzle and saw one of these at local Ace...
Hey Jason,
Which motor model did you order? Even after replacing start capacitor on my TS it still is not right. I was looking at the motors on Grizzly site after reading your post here. I'm...
Very cool design! Like others look forward to seeing the finished product.
