My 1023 RLX hasn't had any clogging issues. I use the DC for every cut and it hasn't been able to build up anywhere i can see. Maybe their DC was underpowered? Time will tell though, once the...
I went with Howie's second method, and used Watco danish oil from HD, and followed with paste wax. I can use a scrap block of wood to scrape off glue, it pops right off. I reapply wax after I use...
Me too! pretty please.
A good time to try out your new iBox box joint jig. :)
Is there a way to attach a thin sheet of sacrificial wood to the bottom of the jig. Then cut through it to the piece, so it acts like a zero clearance, helping prevent tear out?
254745 I took Cary's advice and just made my own out of acrylic. I might make the line a little larger/darker. but it's good for now. The original cursor line was about 3/8" away from the tape, I...
I hate the cursor! Do I replace it from buying something from grizzly, or elsewhere?
You could always run it once with the lid open, if your laser does it that way. Lifting the lid usually turns off power to laser, but will still run real-time so you can get a timed run.
putting each tag on a different page might do it, it would take more of your time setting up each time, but maybe less laser time...

hehe, hi. Ya, i don't laser too much any more, my 17 month old (and work) is keeping me busy enough. I still keep it in shape by making presents for family or things for me, but just not things for...
can you change it to artistic text as opposed to a text box?

I don't think i followed 100%, but to keep things vector and make then non-cutting, you may make a new layer that doesn't print, and move everything to that that you don't want printed. that way you...
Nothing happened, I guess you just didn't look back far enough (page 4 of posts). I found it pretty easily by clicking on your name and "find all posts from" you. Peck was the one that replied,...
I guess since you have an electrician to ask specific questions too, what you need from us is advice as to what you need in the shop, then you can ask him how to do it.

I just found the Convert Outline to Object, did what I wanted.
CD 14. I made a spiral (4 loops, 5.5", line width of 24pt). And i just can't remember how to make the outline of it vectorable. Converting to bmp then tracing left too many jaggies, but there...
Which part doesn't look good... just the image, or the final engraved product?
If it's just the image, try actually engraving it to see the true result. I tend to let my laser do the work on...
don't use a flash, do it during the day or with good ambient light. and don't take it straight on, tilt the piece away some. And for the love of pete, wear pants when doing it. (google ebay photo...
is your page size different from your print size?
easiest way is to make the outlines so they cut, then send doc as Raster Only. Tougher but better way would be to move everything that you don't want raster or cut to a different layer, then make it...
Try Springfield leather too...
Oval then put a hole in it for split ring, or Key Fob type. These are unfinished, so you'll need to get hardware and a stain/finish.

Tom asked something similar a few days ago, i pointed him to this old post, not that it helped :o but it's what I do for the simpler murals. If you don't want any space for grout, just make the...
Not sure of what print settings you're using, but I had a small how-to in this thread from ages back... Using a Working document for the big picture, then a second doc to paste to, to actually print...
The Woodwhisperer has a good idea, I guess based on an old yankee project
