Thank you, thank you. No need to bow, though. It's wintertime, so I get lots of shop time in.

Well, I have completed 2 projects using the lift. One, a set of raised panel doors (10), and the other was rounding over the edges of a router bowl chip/dip type thing. The first thing I'll touch on...
+1 on the Akeda. I use it sporadically every few months or so. Learning curve/setup is a breeze. My dovetails turn out perfect every time. It is truly a pleasure to use. Pretty much everything it's...
I have one being delivered tomorrow. I will post a comprehensive review within a couple of weeks.
One of the appeals to me is the size of the plate is the same as the Rousseau plate I have in my table now. So it should just drop in the existing hole.
Has anyone actually purchased one of these to be able to post some thoughts/reviews on them yet? I noticed they have been on backorder for a while. At this price point, if it lives up to the hype,...
Epoxy coating is VERY slippery when wet. I sometimes go into my shop w/ wet feet from swimming pool to retrieve beverages. It is like walking on ice. Have had several near wipeouts. I would recommend...
I make my own using butyl rubber. I keep a large roll on hand and just roll out balls to fill any size gap. It will always stay pliable and is sticky so they stay in place.
+1 on the Akeda. Bought this about a month or so ago. Have made several drawers and also the Michael H. inspired box to house all the accessories. Awesome jig. Everything it's touted to be.
+1 on the Porter Cable 690. I have 2 for the Akeda jig to eliminate setup hassles. Great router. Easy to handle, plenty of power. Also, the clear base is an absolute must.
+1 on the Jessem. I have been using for years now. I still marvel at the craftsmanship.
Yea, I was a little surprised by the price myself. But the content was just too good to pass up.
I was in one of the borgs today, and picked up a copy of this special publication. It has some outstanding shop ideas, along with some really good jigs & plans. Don't know if this old news or not.
+1 on Johnson's paste wax.
Can't beat the Porter Cable's IMO. Obviously Festool is out there, But they cost your first born.
I just ordered the same jig yesterday. And yes, I ordered the C kit with it. Looking very forward to it. Michael, I see your storage box is featured as an add-on. From the first time I viewed that...
My kids use a program called "picnic" sp?. Looks pretty powerful. Lots of very easy editing and cropping tools.
Going to pick up new unused Performax 16-32 drum sander and DW-735 planer I found on CL. $700 for both. Can't pass up.:D
Forstner Bit
Early in our marriage, My mother-in-law took a job in Hot Springs, Ak. I shortly found out that the bedroom set we were using belonged to her. This left us with our clothes in piles on the floor....
I must say I have to agree with Jason. As I'm reading these posts, I'm starting to feel like everybody is being a little hard on Brad. I'm almost positive he won't be back here with any Norm...
I just bought 4 sheets of the 4' x 9' x 3/4 variety. I think I paid around $45 per sheet from local lumber yard.
Nice jig Bill. Also love that jessem fence on your router table. I have that also. Can't beat it. Where did you get that track system at, I have done some searches at rockler and such, with no luck.
I made a chess board 14 years ago out of Corian and walnut. Double sided board, and still use it to this day. It has been knocked over and dropped on a few occasions and still looks identical to the...
6 in. drops. 4 in. flex tubing to most machines. Very adequate except at top of table saw as I mentioned before.
