I recently had a chance to use the DAP plastic resin glue. It worked great despite being at least 2 years old. I found that using a paint mixer that you chuck in your drill worked really well and...
X3 to the above. I have the same planer and it wasn't feeding great when new - found the above recommendation and waxed the tables(infeed/outfeed/main) and HOO-AAH, baby, slicker than a greased...
:D LOL Todd Bin - a lot of dreaming and scheming happens on that special chair.
This is an old subject. The owner of Grizzly and the owner of BB or whatever the Canukistanian company is called are BROTHERS. LITERALLY.
Personally, I really don't like philips head screws, and especially with my impact driver. I think square drive is the way to go. The only issue with square drive is that your bit will sometimes...
You gotta just get used to wearing one, whether its a cheap disposable or a nice one - it'll really save you in the long run. I'm borderline multiple chemical sensitivity from my usmc experience(oil...
Thought I'd add this info too:

:DLOL... looks like you're doing ok for a newbie....
Not quite woodworking, as I'm pretty happy with where I'm at now, but I'd like to get a better welder. Also an air filtration system would be nice. Oh, and a lift for the truck.:D:cool:
120ish and you should be good to go for most guns.
I'm right handed and bring all(most) of my pieces in from the left, and so set the laser to the left so my cut is to the right of my line. And don't ever count on the laser to be your cut guide other...
I use PL polyurethane construction adhesive, and just installed a bunch of jatoba treads with it. Once dry it is super solid - I just use a few micropins to tack them in while the adhesive drys.
When I re-do my vanity tops, I'm going to experiment and go the concrete route. I've seen some bartops that look really cool, with a solid clear 1/4" of epoxy to seal it. Anyways, just another idea...
This thread has reminded me of the 'boneyard' box taking up space in my garage/shop, full of old tools that bit the dust. My first Bosch jigsaw, Dewalt drills, etc. that I will never take the time...
Thanks for the good ideas; I wish there was a comparable portable design that wasn't as big and awkward as the ones currently available.
I've been very happy with my Dewalt DW734. I tried the Makita and just didn't care for it as much as I like my Dewalt. JMO, I think some of these things may boil down to personal preference.
:D Yup, no amount of vegetarianism or colonics:eek: is going to eliminate eliminations.
For $3500, are you just better off getting a Sawstop? Or is the Powermatic that superior of a saw?
I agree on the Hitachi - I didn't even spend the time to go read the thread on Taunton; whatever they say won't convince me that any saw is better than the C10FSH for accuracy. As far as its table...
This thread has proven more humorous than I'd ever hoped, and also full of valuable feedback. I think I'm with those that suggested no matches or external sprays - my dad used to light a match and...
I watch 'South Park' sometimes, a TV show on the Comedy Central cable channel, and in one episode they referenced the 'deuce' as an acronym for a '#2'. In that episode, there was a worldwide...
I went through 3 10" Makitas before I got the Hitachi C10FSH(I know it by heart). I've now had 3 of them and still believe it to be the best value in a trim saw. The Makita cups a little on its wide...
LOL, thanks Todd.:D I've been giggling all night.
I can tell you that whatever flavor of Eternity they had on the counter, despite a careful 1/4 mist and vigorous atomization with the latest issue of Architectural Digest, did not create the air...
