A little darker than the example pic. It doesn't look bad at all, but she thinks it's a tad too dark, I guess.

Can you make one out of wood? Would the wax stick to it? I have heard you can put a little cooking oil on it but I've never seen one made of wood so I didn't know if it was even worth trying out.

I was not a fan of the scrolling in X5 when we first got it, but now after I've gotten used to it I prefer it over the old way.

I've run my laser on XP as well as Win 7 with no ill-effects. Make sure Epilog has a compatible driver (32bit vs 64 bit, depending on your new computer).

Same here, looks fine to me :confused: Vectors scale mathematically, they will look the same no matter the size (as long as you scale in proportion).

Is this your first laser?

If it's wood we use powdercoat paint from Harbor Freight, it works really well. I forget my settings but its something like 12 power, 100 speed on our 45w epilog. We did a lot of testing with it...

I'm interested in this information as well. Mine never (ever) comes out like it should.

My default work area size is 24x18, my laser's table size :)

But regular mirrors shouldn't be able to reflect the beam like that, should it? I've been burning through mirrors for years (both sides) and nothing like this has happened. What a weird mishap.
