Greg you didn't say how big it is or if there is any clearance issues. You can try selling the wood. Hammer, circular saw, chainsaw, sawzall, sledge, and crowbars.
be safe
Dave it is a lot better than getting 14 different answers for the same question and never really knowing which one is right. There is a lot more embarrassing things that happens on this site. The...
I use plywood so I am guessing either would be better than that. I would have a lot of better things to make with either of those. If I had to choose I would use the cherry and only because of the...
I have built all kids of furniture out of the Radiata. This is before I had a plainer and joiner. It all has held up just fine, I used the minwax stain and Poly on it. It is well over priced but...
I don't have a lot of great lumberyards around here but the one I go to has great service and decently priced. They let me go through the stack if necessary and they will even pick out the crap and...
I prefer the hand/manual countersinks to the power ones, they give me a more precise depth. I use a fluted bit. Woodcraft sells some nice ones.
Glad to have you back Jim
I normally use 16ga 2" and never spits the wood. Just remember don't get to close to the edge or any wood will split.
This is very nice of you and it is one of the best things you can make. I have made a couple of them, your basic triangle flag case top and square bottom, no pics. I started by laying everything...
If you lived near me you could just go to the neighbors house, most around here will sell you their scrap for a sixer. :D:D:D:D:D
Wow, a lot of stuff to think about. I like the new technology, it seems to be heading in the right direction. It sounds like they are trying to make a safer machine, yet in the infancy stage of any...
If you are aware of the risks and you don't take steps to protect yourself then don't complain when you get hurt. My 14 year old understands consequences, maybe she could teach you.
Why don't you get some scrap and try it out. It's the only way to know for sure.
Those are some nice pieces..
I have to agree with John it looks like they a Layered. I would use a router and router table there is some pretty thin splines left. I would use a good hardwood to keep the lines crisp. If you...
Lee Valley, Rockler, and even Lowes and HD sell miniature hinges. If you are looking to make the back yourself or if not as Ryan said Dollar stores are a good idea. Also your local hobby shop will...
I would definitely be in the market for it. I would have to spend a lot more than a hundred bucs to get a 220 volt line dropped.
Welcome to the forum.
Most tool either old or new are just as dangerous. The key to any tool is knowing their inherent dangers and making sure you follow their safety precautions and using personal...
Just wondering how long it took you to build that.:D:D:D
I don't have any designs but since you want to design it around your furniture I would draw it out yourself. You can also get on the net and search for designs. You can also post pictures of your...
Nice find, those are some nice pieces, if you don't think of any good projects I have a few on my list they would be perfect for. I would be more than willing to take them off your hands:D:D:D:eek:.
That was real nice of him, I don't think I could give mine up. Put them to good use.
That is a great idea I will definitely will look into putting that into my design. I was also thinking about putting metal strips where the wood would hit the supports for the adjustable shelves. ...
