Try to watch Incra jig tutorials on youtube. If you already have a router table Incra will be much cheaper and easy to use solution. Also, it will not consume space compare to the others.

I immigrated to the US from Russia at 25 now I'm 38. I've got used to the both systems. Prefer SI compare to the British system a bit more because of some things much easier to calculate.
I used to paint cars when I had my body shop. I would never paint walls with a spray gun. For something like high end furniture in a spray booth spray gun in an experienced hand can do a good job....
