While I don't own one, the V-3000 is probably the ideal size/capacity for my 500 sf hobby shop. I have almost pulled the trigger multiple times on an Oneida V-3000, but haven't as of yet found a way...

Most Carter Lumber locations in SW Michigan carry the white ASTM2729. That is where I bought most of my 6" pipe (Fittings from Menards...)
Nice! So are the 2" square tubes tack welded in place, or held there via the axle bolt?
"Festoolian"... I like it!... only this crowd would immediately have an image come to mind.
The KV 8800 (200 lbs.) slide has had a lever release for about 3 years now, the extra heavy-duty KV 8900 (up to 500 lbs.) does not have a release lever to separate the members as it is intended for...
Looks like the closest Carter Lumber to you would be in Kalamazoo... still a couple hour drive, but they should have it. When I bought some from the GR branch a few years ago, the stick price was...
I've been able to buy S&D 4 and 6" 2729 from Carter Lumber here in the Grand Rapids, Mi area a stick at a time, so you might see if you can find one close by you on the East side of the state....
You'd need to plan on an inset style drawer front to make this work. Overlay fronts would not work for you.
KV has a 16" version of a folding bracket in both a zinc or white finish. Many commercial distributors will carry it, including Baer Supply near you.

Alan - I did the same thing with my Jet/Delta clone saw gotten on the cheap at an auction. Laid it down to transport and broke one of the cast aluminum trunnions. Fortunately, a little internet...
Merry Christmas to somebody!... maybe me. I'd love to have add a Grizzly bandsaw to my shop. Thanks, Papa Grizz!
No pun intended at all, but I think you nailed it...
All of the KV 84xx series slides are U.S. made. The latest version of the KV side mount soft-closing slide is the 8450FM, which replaced the previous 8450 version about 6 months ago. Some...
lol... Paul, if I were you, I'd think about changing your "SWMBO" in your post to "LOML", and go buy her dinner somewhere. Congrats.
Dan - neat mod and a little different approach to the usual Thien DC ring modification.
A couple questions for you:
1. How hard was it to trim your inner cone ring? It looks like you did a...
+1 on picking up damaged or scrap pieces of laminate from a supplier for very low cost. As Derek said, any home center or lumber yard is bound to have a few pcs that have sustained minor damage that...
Does surfing SMC count?
Standard length slide screws will hit each other if placed on either side of a 3/4" partition... but since slides come with multiple choices for screw placement, just offset your screws slightly so...
Well, I went and splurged recently for a big 3-1/4 hp Triton router to mount up in a, new to me, Craig's List Jessum table. While I've used various routers freehand for year's, I have yet to ever...
I’m closing in on the install of my main PVC DC runs and about to start on my drops and blast gates. While I’ve gone to the trouble of a 6” run and minimizing sharp turns and flex wherever I can, I...
For a typical nominl 24" deep overall cabinet a 22", or 550mm is exactly the length slide you want to use. In practical terms, it makes no difference if you build face-frame or frameless for slide...
Thanks guys, I knew there had to be several ways to skin the cat. Unfortunately, I have a drywall ceiling, so I have to be selective where I choose to anchor my pipe hangers to.
Mitchell - your...
Anybody a line on about 6 of the recently revised Clearview blast gates that are reportedly the bee's knees for 6" PVC duct work?
Now that Clearview is closed for business, it's hard to say if...
I've finally located a source for reasonably priced 6" S&D pipe and fittings and will probably be picking everything up this weekend. One of my unanswered questions is how to best hang the pipe and...
RTV = Room Temperature Vulcanizer... fancy name sometimes given for caulk, usually of the silicone variety :):
