Love the good condition for your age comment

Mike, very nice, I've been wanting to try some veneering, this tutorial gives me the confidence to give it try.
Thanks
John
Rob, as long as you have to sit there with your leg up, you should at least have a cold beverage in one hand, and a fishing pole in the other.
I have been going thru the same thought process as you for about the same time frame. My ONLY reason for keeping the cabinet saw is that I still do a lot of kitchen cabinets, cutting quite a few...
Getting ready to purchase a Agazzani B20 B/S from Eagle tools. Have a question regarding the "euro" guides. Not having any experience with this type of guide, how well do they adjust/work. ...
Yes, this also applies to computers, if you accidentally remove the magic white smoke the computer no longer works, I have several computers that I "repaired" but accidentally let out the white smoke...
Joe, you might consider calling Lee Richmond at the Best things and explain to him exactly what you are looking for and your level of experience. When I first started collecting "user" grade molding...
Congrats, nice score, I think much better then the modern saws
I don't normally use the front knob, personally I wouldn't worrying about it.
I prefer the plastic bar stock. I usually buy it in 4" x 36" strips then cut and sand to fit, I find it holds up and machines better then hardwoods and is cheaper then buying aluminum.
I've often thought about getting rid of my T/S. I do build some quality "plywood" furniture, and that is about the only thing I use my T/S for. I rip all my hardwoods on the B/S, then joint with a...
Hope you will post some pics as the project moves along, I'd be interested in seeing how the finger joints come out.
John
I think given the type of wood you are describing, large finger joints would be a great look, maybe even pin them with some contrasting wood. You can make a template and cut them using a router...
Yes, I can buy them, Dremel offers them for free, you just have to wait for them to ship it to you.
I inherited a Dremel Scroll Saw, model # 1680 from my father in law. Does anyone happen to have, or know where I can obtain an online owners manual for this machine. I can get one from dremel for...
I don't camber my smoothing plane blades, I take a file and just ease the corners so they don't leave tracks. Seems to work for me, but there are a lot of more knowledgeable folks out there then I.
I finished my 22" jointer with a 2" hock blade today, and after tuning it up decided to really put it to the test. I have some ribbon stripe "mahogany" that defies anything other then my LV BU jack...
This seems kind of overpriced to me, but I'm not particularly knowledgable about old cast iron, what do you guys think?

THX, been trying to get info from Edwards in Redmond Wa, w/o luck,
I'm looking forward to more info in this thread, personally I'm thinking of getting an Agazzani, but would like to find out who the distributor is in the western US so I can get more info.
John
The only thing I can think of, is maybe a veneer? I'm looking forward to someone with way more talent then I to explain the knowledge and abilities that went into creating these legs.
John
I've been working on some birds eye maple and some ribbon stripe mahogany, both were tearing out until I went to the LV low angle jack, bu, with the 50* blade. I've had no tear out since using that. ...
Not sure what they are going for on the Bay, but I bought a #63 from Patrick leach for $25. Unlike buying things on the bay, I know I will get something that is a good user. Not advertising for...
Which color do you prefer, red, blue, green, or white, each of us have our own opinions, each of us are correct for what is best for us. I own all of David Charlesworth's videos, and two of Rob...
