    Thanks to all. Darren, the "pegs" are dowels with holes drilled off centre. By rotating them I can set the drawer depth exactly.

    Yes the panels are curved - created by laminating 1/8 baltic birch with a curved mold, then vacuum veneering.

    The blade that came with the saw (which I assumed would be next to useless) gives comparable results. I'm thinking it's got to be the alignment or runout. I will continue to troubleshoot.
