I know what I want, but I'm not sure what it is called. I want an extension cord that has a breaker in it, that has a 220 plug for my lathe, and some 110 outlets as well. I see construction...

I took one of Alan's classes and it was fantastic. Go for the upgraded one that he sells and have him turn the handle too. I know I know-why would a woodturner want someone else's handle? Because...
Congratulations on both! Is the bowl for the little guy too? As I look at my teenagers, hard to imagine they were ever that small.
I have a 1220 and after I got my big lathe, I kept the 1220 to use as a buffing station. Have fun with the new Mustard!
Count me in!
Impressive Gary! Did you make your bowl steady too?
You can get them on ebay much cheaper than I could find them at any bearing supply. If you are in a hurry, the big orange box has them too, but they are more expensive.
Looks like a great prize-count me in!
Beautiful piece-where did you get your plans? I showed this to my wife-it is a LONG way from pens and stoppers!
I've turned a bunch of the Ruth stoppers and they work great-however, many of my wine drinking friends who want to purchase a stopper are only a few sips removed from bag wine-I've got a couple of...
After that thing they call a game (OK, the 3rd quarter) I just said "skew it" and went to the shop and turned these using the skew-great practice.
Thanks! In Texas it can be all of those things!
Here are a few of the BBQ flippers and stoppers I turned during the holidays.
I am a new turner so take my experience with that in mind. The fist pen is the most expensive to turn. I purchased a lot of slimline pens-I would advise against it. Sure they are cheap, easy to...
Having just turned almost 2 dozen (had only turned prototypes before), I would recommend Ruth's-and get the mandrel too. I started with the inexpensive chrome ones (from one of the other chain...

Count me in please!
I looked at a lot of them and chose the Rikon-I wanted the powermatic, but couldn't justify the expense when the 10-325 has a lot of features. And if you were lucky enough to get one a couple of...
One of the larger etailers had the Nova G3 on sale-I have one on my Jet 12-20 and find it to have outstanding build quality and it is very versatile.
I passed on it and instead got the Rikon-it was a compromise but the 10-325 does offer a lot of bang for the buck. Reviews on this site and others were very positive. Got it assembled, but not...
I am looking at a 90s vintage Laguna bandsaw LT-16. Any particular issues with the older saws? It has a 1 1/2 Seimco motor on it. I would be comparing this to the Jet 18" (newer version) and the...
Who makes this bandsaw for them? Some of the reviews indicate parts were problematic.
I purchased it, then returned it for the Nova live center that was just a little more. The Nova live center set has a few more parts/options and the quality was very nice.
I've made several of the artists pencils or sketch pencils-the ones that use the big lead and have a sharpener built in. Nice, big shop pencils and easy to turn.
Looking for some spare parts for a Nova 3000. Cast iron stand and tool rest/banjo. Can anyone recommend a good on-line etailer? Also, does anyone know if the delta toolrest banjo/base will work...
