You also need catalyst to start the curing process, but this normally comes with the resin.

Tom, the resin I have is actually called clear cast resin, which means it casts clear. I got my resin at Ben Franklin along with some pigments to color it, although you can get all kinds of resin...

Somehow it came out of the handle. It somehow got stuck under the piece I was turning.:confused:

Well, I broke my parting tool today. No "real" loss, it was the one that came with the Jet Pen Lathe set. What affordable new kind should I get?

Does anyone have any detailed instructions for pens. Not just like cut drill glue turn assemble, but real details?:D

I also have the pen lathe, and you do have to go VERY easy on it. I have run into trouble while taking the edges off of the blanks. Overall it is a nice lathe.
