Or at least quicker. :) I have a customer that makes wooden bracelets and I started off just adding his monogram to the end of the bracelets as sort of a trade mark of his. Then he saw the inlay work...

Chuck it wasn't the ebony I had a problem with. it was the inlay material that gave me fits. Faster, low power and multiple passes is the way to go.

The inlays I have been doing on my laser I use a contour of .004" and laser face side down. Then cut with a mirror image and have had great luck doing it this way.

Dee, I am sure a clear coat may help but I am not sure that customers would want clear coat on their chrome. I am going to a sample someday and see what is best for cleaning and polishing for lasting...
