venting outdoors is not feasible in cold climates unless there is some kind of heat recovery unit that can handle that kind of cfm.
jet is on sale most places, it is a brand sale. Rockler has powermatic on sale.
did they spray a fireproofing layer over the sprayfoam?
excellent videos, nice close in demonstration shots, thanks.
yes I got this set
The reviews indicated it is inferior steel, but it was what i could have in my hands yesterday.

yeah i did some research and the lathe looked good other then some common reports of tailstock slippage, which appears to be fairly easily addressable.
not really on a budget, just have a bad...
Item #34706 12 x33 lathe
1" 8 right chuck threads, tapers are #2 morse.
The only non standard thing about it is the tool rest is slightly less than 1 inch, like 25mm, and the one that comes...
hmm yeah i had the offset mounted as the shaft on the rest is of limited height.
I got the really cheap $20 set of tools, assuming they would be junk, briefly free hand sharpened them with 600...
Picked up the harbor freight 12x33 lathe today and a their cheapest set of tools, and the drill chuck.
Have a face shield, eye pro, center gauge, micrometer respirator etc.
Have a worksharp...
hmm not sure yet what I will do with it, it does appear it will be alot of work to make useful

Looking around the net, i think they...
the rod is what the guard swings on. I have most of the upper guard, but its missing the bracket area and has some previous repairs. It appears to be identical to lower, but lower is missing parts as...

I go to the lumberyard down the road and buy it fresh from the kiln. nice to live in Maine if you like pine
the HD here in Maine always has a stack of the Poplar plywood for 40 bucks a sheet or so.
I have been very happy with it, though the outer veneers are a little thin.
And they store it on the floor...
true this would be hard to quantify, for the hobbiest how would they quantify the damage done by dust vs VOCs and other things from finishing etc?
Well yeah I would use LEDs or CFLs in em, but cost is about 3 bucks a piece per fixture vs 20+
is there any real reason not to use a bunch of ceramic sockets and regular lighbulbs? to many shadow angles or something?
also I have yet to run across any tools that use a 20 amp plug, should I just wire with 15 amp plugs for now, or is it worth the cost to do it all with 20 amp outlets now?
still working on framing in the divider wall, so electric is a week or so away, thinking I will alternate outlets between a chain of 20 amps and homeruns, maybe as blanks for now with just wire. Also...
dricore is nice for true wet situation but provides no insulation and seem to require edge airflow gaps as well.
I am considering the same general idea, 2" foamboard topped with a layer or two of...
This was really my original idea, probably have every other box be a homerun that I could change out between 120 or 240 later, with the rest of the outlets as a couple of standard daisy chained 120...
It appears the cost would be close
12/3 wire is about 5% cheaper then two runs of 12/2 $115/250 vs $63/250 locally. Initial Breaker cost would be slightly but negligibly higher.
Now what do most...
