Ok, call me crazy, but I have. :-) I'm using some fine furniture from Target in my 5 year old's room, and he has short sleeve shirts in one drawer and long sleeve shirts in a higher drawer. Now...

Looking at a jwbs-18x-3 for $900. Is this a good deal? It seems that there were quite a few complaints here about 18" Jets a while back. Any comments to help me out?
Thanks!
My shop is also 20x20 and I'm using eight fixtures, in other words 32 bulbs. It's not too much light.

Thanks, Steve. I think that was the thread I couldn't fine.

Beautiful, and thank you for doing this. Please allow me to opt in.
Paul,
Thanks! I was hung up looking for the homebuilt option that I didn't even think to look up hardware. I'm feeling a bit silly right now.

I've been searching through threads, and I can't seem to find a picture I'm sure I saw a while back. One creeker had a miter saw station with an adjustable height platform for a miter saw. I'm sure...
Barb,
I picked up a copy of "Practical Shop Cabinets" from tomclarkbooks.com. At about $13, it has construction details on building inexpensive cabinets that feature drawers. Or, just look at...
Sorry to hijack, but Sonny, not knowing anything about your bad back, you might think about looking into prolotherapy. Somewhat of a miracle cure for me. (And now back to your normally scheduled...
Count me in as well.
Thanks!

I have one of those overhead storage devices. If I remember the instructions correctly, it had a load rating of only 200 pounds. Even so, I'm not sure I really want to load it all the way to two...
Being new to this board, and not having turned anything in my life, but getting ready to try out my new-to-me lathe, I had to look up how to make captive interlocking rings on the internet. Of...
Alan,
Looks like I wasn't the only one that noticed. Are those Idrives? How do you like them? Are they quieter then conventional openers? Did you install them yourself?
(Sorry to hijack a...
Hey Harry,
I didn't know you outfitted a laser on one of your braces! :D

I'm with Jameel, would it be possible to get some pictures of the wagon vise as well? I didn't realize that modern bench makers were using them.
Nice bench, surprised you're posting and not...
Thanks for all the information. It looks like I can get what I want, 1'x4' so that they fit between studs, and IC rated such that I can pile insulation above them. It looks, though, like I'll have...
Ah-hah! My competition! :D Now I'm going to have to watch craigslist much harder. Seriously, have you found any reasonable sources for old tools here in Austin?
Didn't think about the firewall issue. I've got a standalone garage that I'm turning into my shop, so maybe that isn't as big of an issue. Of course, I don't want my shop burning down!
The...
I'm attempting to collect some hand tools for my woodworking, and am having trouble getting things for reasonable money. And then on Craig's list a guy offers what looks to be an old Stanley No. 4,...
So, through another thread, I finally learned what to call recessed florescents: troffers. I usually equate these with the lights in a suspended ceiling. I would like to use troffers in my shop to...
George,
Yeah, I guess it's only funny to me because I only found that out earlier this year, after lusting over the SawStop for the last year or two, thinking to myself that I had to choose...
I wouldn't buy it. No saw is any good unless it's a left tilt...:)
Thanks for all the inputs, I'm amazed that I got so much feedback in so little time.
Going the circuit breaker route will mean that I have to find a lockable door on the 100A subpanel that's...
This did occur to me, but I wasn't convinced that the breakers were built to handle the mechanical stress of being switched on and off every day.
