All purpose: Well I've got the Hitachi that came with the saw for rough work or materials that might damage a 'good' blade. I suppose I'm looking for a less expensive alternative to a Forrest...
Just bought a (an?) Hitachi 12" scms and while the blade that came with it is ok...it's just ok.
Any deals out there lurking for a good all purpose blade?
Thanks in advance for leads,
Russ
Thanks for the insight guys.
I'm going to go look at them on Saturday.
Darn near 2 hundred views and no opinions...
Anyone?...anyone?...Bueller?
Chance to purchase either (or both I suppose) a Croix CX-8 or a Capspray CS8100...will come with a hose but wants an extra $80 for 'a gun' (no specifics yet on that). Price is cheap, $50 for either....
Do a google search for Delphi DeWalt Radial Arm Saw Forum, helpful folks and lots of info.
I think the GR's were built in the mid to late 40's, very solid, industrial type RAS...very heavy too, #700...
I'd like to see more Cary, always love to see tools brought back to working condition (old or not)...and I'm not sure how the moulding part works ;)
Well, yes I can. I had to google a few videos to find out, but yes, my jointer is capable of that...learn something new everyday, etc
And now I can see how that method would work to joint a wider...
Recently, Jay (JaysCustomCreations) posted a video demonstrating a way to joint a board wider than the jointer and then used a 'spacer' to run it through a planer...awesome idea and it worked great...
What holds these down? Are you screwing into the plywood base each time?
Thanks,
R
Just put my lathe back together after a time and these would come in super handy!
Excellent idea Brice! Thanks from a displaced San Diego native

Thanks for the ideas...I think Joe may have nailed it with the removable socket idea, I've got a few things to pick up at Harbor freight anyway.
I've got an 'old' Delta Homecraft lathe that I used a fair bit a few years ago for some pens and tops...just learning; after our most recent move I left it disassembled until last week. I have some...
Congrats to the lucky winners!
And thanks again to Carbide Processors for the generous give away
In...please and thank you.
I spotted an ad on CL the other day for 'wood' -$40. Curious, I asked for details; short story: 4 pieces if I wanted all four $35.
1. 18x18x10 block of spalted maple
2. 4.5"x16x44 bass wood
3....
I have no idea on the price those jointers go for but it sure is pretty, the wood is VERY nice too...
Beautiful work, that walnut is very nice too
Thread necromancy....
Thanks for the responses guys...this is what I suspected
Off to research oscillating saws now, HF is my default for tools I'm unsure of usage on, so that's probably where I'll end up

Just had some windows installed. Our front room has a series of five slightly angled picture windows that now have old 1/4" (true 1/4", been there since 1964) plywood that will need to come out so I...
Nice work Charles.
So, you routed grooves in the sides and then put in a piece to act as a the slider for the drawers?
