Any rail system is going to require a setup for each cut. I have the EZ Smart and I'm very happy with it.
If you want one setup to make a series of cuts, I recommend you use a table saw.

Link belts would only work after changing the pulleys to use a standard V-belt. The belt it comes with is flat, with six small ribs.

This is applicable to the Craftsman, Ridgid and at least one model of the Steel City granite top table saws. There may be others of the same basic design/manufacture to which this would apply.

Dave, I did get mine at the Manchester store. They didn't have any when I called, had to order it. When I showed up to pick it up they had two, and let me choose which one I wanted. I'd say they...
Mine was almost all random widths and lengths of rough lumber. No way I had more than 5 board feet of wood that had been milled for flooring. However, there is no guarantee that ratio is...
You do get what you pay for, but I personally have been quite happy in all my dealings with LL. I did a hallway in hickory, and over half our first floor in Brazilian Cherry. Great stuff, good...
I may have started the thread, but I'm the student... Just order a Grizzly G0555 with riser and would like to get some blades heading my way. I assume I'll need more than one style for different...
I'm really anxious to hear about how this saw works, but for me the comparison is between the 14" version with 8" resaw capacity and the G0555 from Grizzly (which I did not know was on sale).
LOML...
Dave, he listed 3 different Grizzly 14" saws -- do you have one of these or a different model? Inquiring minds want to know...
The best I can do for you, Dan is to provide these links to some...
I've used the Hilti type bolts to attach a shed to the cement slab foundation and I found them to be very strong. The ones I used were Red Head brand if I recall correctly, purchased at the local...
Dave, where in NH are you getting your wood? Highland, Goosebay, Northland, somewhere else? Haven't been to any of them yet personally, just looking for a recommendation...

I use a Starrett combination square all the time ever since I picked up a used one off ebay. That of course led me to confirming my suspicions about my other squares -- they aren't square. None...
If you can wait 10 months for it I'm sure the 20% off holiday sale will return again...
Besides that, my suggestion would be to see what the best deal is that you can get out of the 'top 3' of the...
I have owned the Hitachi 83A framing nailer and the DeWalt framing nailer but now have the PC. All good machines, but I percieved that all pneumatic nailers were compared to PC as the reference...
Paul,
You won't dislike the DeWalt planer -- I hear it is a great machine. But I would like to point out a couple of items that your post leaves me thinking you are misled on:
- The Ridgid...
For the price of the DeWalt 735 you are almost in the range of a stationary. The Delta 22-580 gets good reviews. So does the Ridgid TP1300. I have the Ridgid.

Here are two bandsaw articles posted on another board I frequent that I found to be very informative:

Jeff,
They offer a 25" & 36" for purchase separately and list a 40" as part of a 'door trimming kit'.

I'm leaning toward the EZ system -- I can justify the bandsaw and mortiser/router mortising jig later. I was envisioning keeping 2 rails together and one separate, but had ruled it out as not...
I still need a bandsaw, drill press, mortiser, and panel cutting guide system. But my funds aren't unlimited so I tend to look for the bang for the buck purchase -- I'm not a pro so I don't need the...
She's a keeper! ;)
I just got the OK to get 'a nice new tool', but my budget is more along the lines of half that. So I'm considering waiting on a band saw or maybe the Grizzly 0555. Also need...
I too have been eyeing the Ridgid DP for some time. Unless you must have something bigger, I would refer you to the drill press comparison review performed by one of the magazines within the last...
I've heard of this from new blades in general if the arbor wasn't clean and some sawdust introduced runout on an otherwise good saw/blade combo.

For those of you in NH or MA, I found several of these at the Manchester,NH Sears and supposedly 2 at the Reading, MA Sears Hardware. None are on display, they are all in the stock room. $48 and...
