Have you taken the chuck apart to see if a spring is missing?
Have you sprayed into it with some lube?
If you have the (3) jaws it should be just stuck are a missing spring or 2.

I found the B&D version of it in the dump in great shape, but never tried it. I saved it but I guess it's there if I remember it when/if I need it.
Here in NH @ 1000' we had our first frost last night. That's about two weeks late.

I just gave away an old Power Kraft to a friend of mine. Not sure of the model # but it had an interial 1 hp motor.
Not a bad saw, very little rust. I found it in the dump.
I have seen that at night in places. $75 is around a 1/2 of a tank for me.
$4.85 for diesel 34 gal tank. I try to fill up weekly and not when I get low on fuel.
I've had a lot of success with Photobucket until now. They changed something and I can't upload any more.
25 miles one way, 30+mins. 19MPG $4.85 for diesel (As of friday, may be over 5 tomorrow)
