I appreciate the advice and the video. Hopefully I can get it freed up this evening. It’a so close to the cast iron you don’t have much space to get anything behind it.
Thanks for the info. I can only find one grub screw. It is an aluminum pulley. So would a propane torch be good to heat the pulley. Thanks again.
I’m in the process of putting bearings in a Nova 1624-44. The top pulley is not wanting to free up. I removed the screw from the side of the pulley. I’ve been using a small piece of wood and a crow...
Talked to Teknatool today. They were very apologetic for the long time it’s taken for any response. I was wrong on my warranty. I was thinking 5 yrs, but that’s mechanical. It’s 2 years on...
They finally sent an email and said they were on skeleton crew because of holidays. He said he’d get the technician to call ASAP. He apologized for the delay. But still would like to get moving...
Any of you had to deal with nova customer support. I started a ticket with them before Christmas. They have sent emails and called once, but no help. My Dvr upgrade just quit and is still under...
Nice work! Color turned out good, yet still shows character of the wood.
I got the rubber Chucky seals and they work fine.
Happy Birthday!
Nice work! I like the bottom too. I bought a custom stamp, but found I often didn't have the bottom flat. So the stamp would rock and not do a good job. I have been engraving which looks ok, but...
I have found from weed eating in an under armour type shirt, that weeds nor wood chips will stick to this type shirt. I think their made of polyester.
I bought a branding iron that works great, but only if the bottom is perfectly flat. I rarely use it anymore. I use a Dremel engraver, it cost a lot less than the iron. You can write whatever you...
Looks nice to me. You give that to someone as a gift who isn't a wood turner and they'd love it without looking for flaws. Wood turners can be judge mental comparing works to their own. But no...
Works great and simple to use. It has saved me lots of money.
Nice piece of work!
I ended up getting one that hadn't been tapped. The seller is taking care of it. Thanks for all your help.
Did you tap the adapter to screw in the fitting? My adapter doesn't have threads, so I thought about tapping it for a fitting? Thanks, Thomas
Thanks for the pictures. That helps a lot.
Thanks for the info Tom. I ordered it. They said it was the last one in stock. I may have a few more questions for you when it gets here. Thanks again.
Thanks for the reply. I sent you a message.
I have found on eBay and a couple other sites a vacuum adapter similar to the one nova discontinued. Does anyone use these or know if they work well. I have the holdfast system and use their...
It seemed to work good. I always wiped it on and used it like a friction polish. Normally the more coats, the better it looked. It took a few days for the smell to go away. Not exactly sure on...
I'm out of the Tung oil, dna, shellac mix that I've used for awhile and was wondering how it compares to the BLO Mix. I have to order pure Tung oil. I usually get it from woodcraft. But I think I...
Thanks Allan. I just started noticing this, it hadn't been doing it before.
