There's not very much to lock down, just one lever. I'll pay more attention going forward and see if that was the issue.
Thanks for the reply.
I recently upgraded my Hammer A3-31 with straight blades to a Felder AD 531 with a spiral cutter head. The spiral cutter head is amazing, but may not be the best for my ongoing grain reading...
The dowels are in the underside and go through the domino, which has a wide hole to allow for movement.
I thought maybe to clamp it back together and insert a new dowel. I hadn't thought the dowel...
I made a walnut table with drawbored bread board ends, with dominos, around a year ago. One of the sides is perfect while the other is separating as in the photo. I assume that one of the drawbored...
Michael,
You say you are in Japan. I understand that parts of Japan have 110v 50 hz and others 60 hz.
I live in Israel where we also have 50hz, I also had a Sawstop jss and got a similar error....
Thanks for the replies. I'm now trying to sell the jobsite saw. If successful will buy the 3hp PCS.
I currently have a Sawstop jobsite saw. I live in Israel so I had to pay an arm and a foot, thankfully not a finger, to get the saw here and working (inverter, 12 v deep cycle battery and charger to...
Thanks for the reply Art.
My plan was to build a solid plywood base plus cabinet with an out feed table and router table (8' by 18' shop).
I'm designing an enclosure for my table saw. It's a Sawstop Jobsite saw which no longer needs to be mobile.
My question is how important is it to make it heavy? I'm considering putting sand bags in...
I have the Oneida portable dust gorilla and it works great extracting from my 12 inch j/p.
I am planning on making it stationary and ducting the shop.
You might want to try some really low, 25 or 50, grit in the Ros or even an angle grinder. It will not look great right after, but if you continue with 80, 120 etc... it should look great. Be...
David that's a great point. I wonder what the tolerances are for these machines.
BTW, when I meant not level I did not mean sliding around the shop not level, but maybe one or two degrees off.
I did my whole shop floor, 16 mm birch ply, handheld with a t & g set.
I did some test pieces first to get the setting right,
Worked great
I like levelish and if it's really off level it could be good training for zero grav.

Randy, that definitely sounds like a good reason
I hear lots of talk of people leveling their machines in the wood shop. Except for a sliding table saw which may use gravity to keep the slider working properly I can't understand the importance of...
I have a bunch of polycarbonate left over from a previous project. I want to use it as the panels for frame and panel cabinet doors. The poly is 4mm thick. My question is should I make the slot for...
I think I have the wrong one. When I get it down to zero it won't go down further and then rotating clock wise increases it again.
I'll talk to my local dealer again. A bit frustrating as this is a...
I'm using metric
I just got the "digital clock" for my hammer A3 31. When turning the hand wheel clock wise it raises the table, making the thickness depth smaller. The problem is that the digital clock increases...
Great story and beautiful wood
Turning has definitely been on my to do list. I'm not sure I should get into it because of my addictive personality and all that I've heard of turning :)
In any case the reason I'm even considering...
By split I meant at about 2 foot up it splits into two separate trunks. Is that something that is caused by stress or did you think I actually meant split as in cut?
