Sorry guys, busy day at work and haven't had a chance to reply. I do know how sales guys can be. They tend to bug the crap out of you when you don't want them but seem to never be around when you do....

Sorry guys, busy day at work and haven't had a chance to reply. I do know how sales guys can be. They tend to bug the crap out of you when you don't want them but seem to never be around when you do....
I gotta say right now I am a little bit disappointed in Camaster.... I call and talk to the sales guy and can obviously tell he has better things to do (trying to rush through the phone call)....
I do have a friend who has a buddy that is near me with a tractor that has a front end loader. What I don't know is if he has forks for it. looking into that today.
Indeed for sure! My second issue, even if I went with the 24x36 with liftgate, my drive is positioned such that a semi would notbe able to back in and to complicate it further the approach is gravel...
The first quote from Camaster actually had the shipping for the 24x36 unit which did include the lift gate however the second one was corrected and specifically calls out that lift gate was not...
Believe me, if I had space for even a 3x4 machine I would go that route! My biggest concern no is how to unload it from a common carrier truck. Could possibly rent a forklift but that will be $300 at...
Same here lol. He is like the shamwow guy only for cnc machines.
Good points Gary. While I am sure either one of these machines would work beyond my expectations for what I will do with them, I am leaning heavily towards the stinger.
I have two issue I need to...
Really it came down to a US made machine for me.
So I looked at a few of the other machine recommendations listed above.
The Saturn CNC from FLA looked fine but being that the spindle was not included or available from them directly was kind of...
Do you have the 1.7KW Air cooled spindle on your stinger Bruce? If so how do you compare the audible noise to a router. Say a router being a 10 as the loudest... Got my quotes back from CAMaster...
@bruce - I guess my main question at this point would be if I can design a table that can 'slide' out from the wall for maintenance purposes, is there anything that would impede the normal operation...
Hi Bruce, that's a nice looking machine! Why does the gantry beam on the stinger 1 extend so far off the one side of the table? Any reason why one couldn't have that machine against a wall? I have a...
Hey all looking at getting a small format 24x36 (48) cnc router. I have looked at the Axiom AR8 Pro+, Laguna IQ, ShopBot Buddy, and Camaster Stinger 1 SR24. Main requirements are a spindle as...
Morning Kev, As always, thanks for the detailed posting. That is just what I was looking for having never seen a 'print' driver specifically for a laser.
Thanks for all of the input! It sounds like the Laser is as safe as the operator makes it. Since I have never owned one and nearing the time to order, spending a large sum of money and thinking of...
Specific to the printer, yes, I agree but, I don't recall ever seeing one that would have settings based on what is in the specific document / file. Again my limited knowledge here but in rdWorks ...
I suppose the benefit to a print driver is if you are using multiple applications that generate the finished piece of work. Now to speak from my limited knowledge on this, where are you setting the...
Speaking mainly to the folks who are running their laser(s) out of their homes. As I prepare to receive my laser I want to ensure that I am creating a safe environment in which to operate. Obviously...
Definitely interesting for sure. I only have one concern since it will be a for sale software. I read a comment from the developer on the LB facebook page. another fellow was asking about another...
Update on this: I installed CorelDraw to give the nesting plugin a try. I referred to the name as eNest but it is eCut. The price of the plugin is good but it will only work with the full CorelDraw...
With all of the problems folks are reporting it sure seem like they purchased an alpha or beta product. I get the concept of kickstarter's for some new innovative things, but really?... not so much...
It's really not as much as it looks. Seconds in reality. Since most of my designs are assembled pieces 3d is the way to go. If I were mainly cutting out simple 2d designs and engraving on them then...
I haven't been able to get down to Rabbit for a visit. It has been a very busy time of year with my son. Between driving him around to school, marching band, Jazz band, cross country and being the...
For what I am planning to do the 80 watts should be just fine. Mostly cutting and 90% of the time will be wood pieces. Just noticed you are also in the Cleveland area.
