Cabot marine satin Varnish...have not applied it yet.

Using a marine varnish because the bench will be in a steamy bathroom.

I will be finishing a piece of furniture in the next week or so, and was wondering how long to wait to let the varnish cure before packaging it up for shipping?

I have Jorgensen, Stanley and Bessey K-body style clamps,

a couple of swipes with a scraper clean up the Jorgensens, I don't even think I need to clean the glue off the Stanleys at all

Any trick to setting how much the hinge knurl protrudes on a game board so that the board closes without binding, yet when its open it lays flat?

Its torn through..basically ripped out the front of the rail down to the dowel...I'll post some pics soon, will be much clearer with a pic.

My daughter dropped our mahogany piano bench backward tonight and the apron/rail attached to the hinges for the lid cracked on both sides, breaking off two pieces and exposing the top dowel attaching...

also when i sand end grain boards on the same machine, I only can go about 1/16 turn

when you've made lids out of single pieces what did you do to stabilize them against warping?
