I noted your post about bed-making. I've made several of these 4-poster beds from curly maple that are easy to assemble/disassemble, are GREAT fun to make, sit high enough to store material...
iPod too Proprietary?? It works with Mac and any PC and uses MP3 files. How more generic can it get?
Some of them use flash storage too...no moving parts.
I like the streaming idea--I buried...

Where do you live? I use 10% maple quite often. However, I am not in Arizona.
If you use proper building techniques (ones with movement in mind) you should be ok in most areas.

When I measured the TV, I didn't realize the base sticks out further than the rest. So, we're gonna cut the base of TV to fit the furniture! :D :D
