The repair with epoxy will be much stronger with it feathered and thickened along the crack line. I'd go 1/2" thick - easier to get that volume with the pc product - unless jb comes in something...

If non structural - I'd use a epoxy paste called PC products - pc-7 . It comes in a greater volume than JB weld. Home Depot has it. Or check other resources for larger cans of it. You will need to...
X2 flexilla
or others with same features.
X2 flexilla
Before sending it out I read that these are different blades and not the typical effort. I called the sharpening service and talked to the owner. It's like - oh yeah no problem etc.
I look for...
See the dark streak in the attached picture. I've already finished and convinced myself when it appeared after planing down to 1/2" thickness I could live with it. The streak wasn't there with the...
Thanks John. I have a gallon that I've used a little. It seemed no good for cleaning brushes. Wondered if it was me.
Cutting 50% with MS.
My MS is the "green" type. Is the environment safe version okay?
Want to attach a small wooden foot to the bottom of a poly finish on a TV tray. Will that bond?
I agree with what Sam said. Much prefer torx for the reasons he stated.
I took it apart. Several o rings one might consider. It's been well lubed. Not worth obtaining an o/ring kit to see what might happen.
New one is less than $20. However, it's a good feeling to...
Attached is a pic for a HF nailer. On the side, stock no. P973, Series C 007205.
It does not countersink the heads anymore. Just about flush is all it can muster. I've got lots of different...
Sears 10" contractor. 1.5 hp
3/4" to 1-1/4" hardwood material range.
Currently use a Freud Fusion 40 T for all work. I'd like a thin kerf glue line for ripping with emphasis on the cut quality for...
Kevin, ever seen a product called q-bond? (A ca glue that saturates a granular filler base to repair many things outside woodworking.)
The medium thin watery enough to do that?
Thanks turners!!
For filling small cracks in the ends/sides of cutting boards which viscosity is best? I'm thinking the EM - 02 is too thin.
Confession / not a turner but you guys use the CA glue!
Don't want to hijack this thread.......- I've debated feet over routered finger groove on the ends. That allows use on both sides. Somewhat personal preference. Opinions?
And you can convince yourself you are doing something for the environment!!
A wood knob will crack/split with moisture.
I have used corks from wine bottles. Sand on all sides to make attractive and glue to the board. Typically 1/2" height.
My wife saves corks so I have...
Got a great deal on some 3/4" maple. Being already dimensioned and not having a fresh face what about glue adhesion? Specifically face side, should it be sanded or wiped dn with something?
Not...
Update: used hot glue as that fit the project better than the spray contact adhesive - less messy and no waiting time to assemble. Used the fix on some other Jorgy ratchet clamps too.
Think I'll try the spray adhesive first., and the hot glue next. Tks for the ideas.
Specifically about HF clamps, if there is a difference in brands.
Anyone have a good idea how to keep them attached?
Either a duct tape band or perhaps some double stick tape?
As I think...
I've used satin arm r seal on my table projects as I like the sheen. But I rub out with steel wool and a lubricant to get that silky smooth finish.
No what the OP asked.., but there are online places that will make almost any size, thickness and color cutting boards. I have 2 that are 36/18 from them. Any edge and other feature can be routed in...
