(The above is a machine Tim Shetler restored...)
LOL! 3.5% net isn't exactly a barn burner. For them, maybe.
Maybe someone at Amazon woke up and realized they weren't making money on those deals?
Robbie, nice machine! OWWM won't have info since it's ferrin. I have sent a PM about chisels.
Goodness, such life changes. Now you've moved to Oz I guess?
Isn't that the table Rick Christopherson built ten years ago and is buiding a new-improved model with --- God forbid Gary -- a Domino???

Hold on -- let's not be so quick to discount the Internet's role in the specific case being reported in the story Bart linked to. It has everything to do with using the Internet to conduct business...
Go to foamorder.com and knock yerself silly.

It closed at $65,656! Wonder if it will actually get used or just be a collection/museum piece?
For those playing along at home, item nbr 200086511280 on that auction place.
I agree, go for it. It will go nicely with the other machines you've assembled there. A step-down transformer to handle the 7.5HP motor can be had relatively cheap.
There's an article on Bill Pentz' web site about building a low cost sensor. I have not tried it but it looks straight forward.

Great job Frank!
Rob, sorry but I really don't think this will work. You shoulda used springs from a 454 :D
Seriously, will be interesting to see if this works.
Tony, don't use the lift gate unless you really have to. Lift gates and heavy, esp. top-heavy, machines don't mix real well. The lift gate has a tendency to be jerky and sag when loaded to their max...
You could do this, but there are a couple of issues to consider and I'd not do it. As one poster hinted, you'd need to make sure your heaters are sized properly to handle the additional load of the...
I like Roy's approach. There was also a thread a while back about a video our own Alan Turner did for FWW magazine. In it he presents a really neat jig to do tapers on the table saw. It is on their...
Chris, that's looking great! Can't wait to see it with "skin".
Mike, since it's only 800 lbs ;) , the loader on your lawn tractor should handle that. Use lifting straps under and up from the machine's base then chain to the bucket. Do not lift from the tables.

It's also 16" width. Read more about it here: http://www.owwm.com/PhotoIndex/detail.asp?id=2569
Given it's weight, it doesn't get...
Jameel -- thanks, I've enjoyed this immensely.
Don't know about the "use in asian countries" thing, but there has been a recent rash of 25" wide belts on ePay. A nice Timesavers 25" just sold for under $1500.
I've bought quite a few items through IRS over the past five years. I think they have single-handedly liquidated the assets of the entire furniture industry in North Carolina and Southwest Virginia. ...
Very interesting. Maybe a slight weight imbalance causes the opposing pucks to momentarily lose the air cushion setting of an oscillation of sorts. Sounds like the low-riders would love it!

Scott, yes, General's Hoverpad was discussed in Rob's earlier thread (link above). However, the two versions of it are only rated at 600 lbs and 1200 lbs. The machines Rob and I are wanting to...
