Not sure how close you are to a Menards, but they carry 6 inch pipe and fittings.
I mounted mine on the wall. I only have 8 feet to the ceiling and I didn't want the ducking factor even though I know my head would never hit it. It looks more out of the way on the wall IMO.

I seems to be working now. http://clearvuecyclones.com/
You could build something similar to this. It was in Wood Magazine.

If you didn't order it, you didn't receive it. Reminds me of the instructional DVD's that I received without ordering. They sent a couple of bills, but I just threw them away. Eventually they gave...
I feel the same way. I bought some when Big Lots was clearing them out, but I wouldn't pay full price for them. Stick to Bessy's Jorgy's or Jets.
I'm thinking it isn't a good idea. Depending on how you have the logs cut up they could shrink a lot. Also your going to have a problem as they dry because once their installed you won't have any air...
I think it's more efficient to run the main diagonally across the shop, then branch off to your machines. That leaves you with a much smaller main run.
I did the pulleys and a link belt at the same time and noticed a big difference for my contractor saw. I didn't do any tests as far as trying just the belt with the old pulleys or new pulleys with...
Peachtree Woodworking Supply sells both the belts and pulleys.
Plastic sheeting or felt paper would work. Make sure you run it up the wall 4 inches or so. I was just wondering how your going to keep the seams of the osb together. The 1/2 inch lattice isn't a lot...
I went with PVC. I had metal HVAC ducts on an earlier system and the PVC is so much smoother that I believe it has to be pulling the air more efficiently. I'm not sure what potential risks of going...
The new ones are sized to fit standard vacuum hoses. I think they stole that idea from ClearVue.
Anyway I have the older metal version and I used one of these to connect the vacuum. Ended up...
Thanks Tom,
I have a Twin-screw and a Jorgie. I was planning on putting the twin-screw on the end of the bench, but since the bench is against the wall. I've been thinking of mounting it on the...
Tom a couple of quick questions. Do you have all three vises on your bench?
If you did go with the twin screw for the face vise. How do you like it?

A way to save money on blast gates is to make your own. Here's one way and there are others on here that have made self-cleaning ones.

My shop is 12 x 20. I have a 30 inch fence on my saw and it can get a little tight at times. Your 52 inch fence is the one thing I think you might have a problem with.
John
If your DC only has a 4 inch port, I'm guessing it's going to be way too small to collect from a piped system. You would probably be better served to just move it from machine to machine.

They all make noise and I know some are worst then others, but IMO I think it's more important to find the one that picks up and separates the dust and chips the best.
You might like less noise,...
It's wood, painted yellow.

This probably isn't exactly what you are after, but I'm going to make a cabinet for mine so I can move the motor below. I will save some room in the shop.

I built the Wood Magazine cyclone and the cone was longer than that one. Maybe he made it shorter because of head room. From what I've read you want a longer cone for better separation.
I wonder...
Oh yeah I forgot, congrats on the new saw. I know you were waiting a long time for this. Hopefully it doesn't take as long to get running as your ClearVue did.:D
John
If it was me I would wipe it all off and use a spray lube like this.
