Go get a $5.00 cap at Grainger or McMaster car, check the centrifugal switch. If ya got a multi meter, check your power leads to ground and check continuity to insure windings are okay

Could be condensate dripping off the suction line while in ac mode. Check the insulation on the line. Those cold lines will drip like rain especially in humid areas
