Hands down, best post I’ve read here in quite some time! 🤣
Awesome job 👍🏽
You need to slide the jig all the way to the outside of drawer bottom. It’s easy to accidentally slide it to the wrong side of the slot when drilling. Also, you don’t need the jig. Just set finished...
I second the mailing list suggestion. Currently you can save $50 on said guide.
They always have a promo it seems.
Very happy with my TS purchase.
🤣 perfect 👍🏽
Do you have a standard width you use for stile and rails? I have limited door building experience and kind of just went with what I thought looked good and would support the hardware.
Also, for...
Years ago... maybe 12-14..I don't remember... I did a lot of research on this. I ended up with a Clearvue Cyclone. What I found was that 'hobby' woodworkers are exposed to more particulate dust than...
All good stuff here.. I would add that I always try to cut as close to the line as possible on these trouble areas on the bandsaw first. That will also help reduce any tear out etc.
There's a wide range of what is considered 'BB'.. Some of these prices have to be Indonesian which is a shop grade with numerous voids. Top tier and actual BB in my area...and I get contractor...
You probably don't need any more advice but I only use the front sacrificial edge as an appropriate initial placement... I always measure from the back edge of the track to the referenced edge and...
I've done this with large drawers and have had no issues. I can't speak to the species, but I would think you would be just fine...especially for a router cabinet. Sounds fancy!
Wife asked for a guest bed a week before Christmas... I call this the 'Framer's Rustic Bed'.. with end tables using left over tile from a bath remodel. Merry Christmas!

Very true, and I agree. My expectations are relative to table saws though. I'm not expecting 100% or anything even close, but as it currently is outfitted, the 4" port Harvey uses is already...
Worth it, for me, I should say. 4hp is relatively unique I suppose, but I wanted more power and was limited by my current wiring. When I wired my shop, I didn't consider or even think of upgrading to...
I occasionally get snipe also, both tips above help reduce it. Keeping the bed slick is key. In my experience with this machine, it also is an indicator my blades need replacing.
How about this Sam...

Hey Jim, the space looks nice! Good for you.
If that compressor vibrates and makes unnecessary noise, horse matting may be a good solution underneath it as a dampening agent.
Looking forward to the...
Jim and Glen, that's good feedback and that's about what I had planned for my saw. One of my problems is my drop is to the right side of the saw so the 90s are gonna work against me. I may try to go...
I went with the 4hp, with 36" fence. I did not opt for the coating.
Things I like:
Larger table and more room in front of blade.
Fit and finish is "pretty good"
Miter gauge is absolutely amazing...
I was recently looking into this for a project. I found this video which has links to supplies/tools for the job. Some hobby, some professional grade. Thought it might help. See links embedded in...
Mine have worked just fine for several (10?) years. No issues.
What happened to the clear plastic cyclone???? Sheesh..that's the whole point. :) I have a clearview from probably 10 years ago and absolutely love it...but it's literally clear view.
Thanks for the input, I would think making jigs and templates would be another great use. To my point earlier, I would think you would continue to find ways to make use of it.
I haven't purchased anything yet. Maybe my conceptions are misconceptions, but I see the machine not only making multiple tasks easier and quicker, but with a higher degree of accuracy. My problem...
