It's sitting on top of a Line 6 cab right now. I'm thinking piggy back is the way to go but I already have the combo cab built and ready to cover.
The one-wire mod really takes the Plexi into another world. I'm working on a way to make it switchable between Plexi, 1-Wire and 1-Wire with the Normal channel boost.
Here's a clip of the 1-Wire...
Thanks!. It's a bit of a spare parts build. The chassis is a 1U rack mount with the tubes and xformers surface mounted. I've built a combo cab for it but I may bail and do a small stack. The head...
Thanks for the kind words Greg. Your amp came out nice! The 5E3 is on my short list of projects. Maybe this Fall. I'm wrapping up a 50W Dual Rectifier Plexi build right now. Hope to have it done by...
^^^ Ha! I figured that had to be 12" or 15". ^^^ :D
Thanks Sam. It was sprayed with Vintage Amber and then the burst was done with Tobacco Brown.
Here's a shot before clear coats that shows the color in a different light.

These days I think they care more about their logo and brand than the headstock shapes. The Telecaster.com website is full of builders who put custom decals on Tele and Strat headstocks and Fender is...
It wouldn't work on my rig. The portion that swings is a rectangular frame...the side heights don't move independent of each other.
Only fixed on the swing arm...I would need some sort of u-joint to do compound radius. I might look at it someday.
Thanks Bill! It's not for sale so you're safe. :)
The radius is 9.5". Last year I built a swing arm belt sander that does the job rather nicely. It will do 12", 9.5" or 7.25". I don't remember if...
Some of those cool gels and foams that the Mythbusters use a lot spring to mind. Something liquid that gels up firm and has the slightest of give when it's set, a release of some sort and lay the...
Wow Seth! Very tidy and creative work here. I always enjoy watching your work and processes. Just impressive on all counts!
Peace,
Mark
Can you post pics of the guitar you're asking about? It would really help folks offer advice.
Peace,
Mark
Thanks John!
It's a drop top. .020" veneer that edge glued for the bookmatch and vacuum bagged.
Peace,
Mark
Thanks! You'd be surprised how raunchy the guitar can get. It will do the classic Tele tone but in an aggressive amp it's all bets off. If I list a build as having hand wound PUs, it means that I...
This one was inspired by the number 2 prototype of the destined to be Telecaster. It has a double bound, chambered alder body with the pickguard serving as the control plate..no routes front or rear...

Hello all!
It's been a year or so since I've posted here at the Creek. Life has had me jumping but I've managed to finish up some old projects and even a few new ones.
The latest is a '59...
Using Cary's input and the correct circ, I came up with an angle of 15.84° vs 16.25° from my test. And, I measure point of 10.57" vs 10.25" in my test. Looks like I got it pretty close. The...
Thanks Cary. That's good info!
I did a test with printer paper before I saw your post. It worked out fine but I got different numbers than I would using your input. I think with the taper equal to...
