Thanks for all the positive comments! I've had the figured maple legs laying around for years waiting for the right top to compliment the color and figure. I knew it was worth the wait!

Finished my breakfast table. The top is black walnut and the legs are western maple. I used a tung oil mix for the finish, followed up by a wipe-on oil based poly.

This table will go in my breakfast nook. I have a large dining table already and this one will be a nice table for two.

How did I make the legs?
Making a small breakfast table, don't have any finish on the top yet, more pics to come later. The top is just shy of 5 feet, and the table stands 29 inches tall.

Do any of the cabinet shops in the area have a drum/belt sander. You would probably have to run the wood through the sander quite a few times to remove the chipout, but this would likely be less...
I used trim pieces of wood around the edge of the mirror, then attached them with screws.
