X2! The quality of Randy's stuff is outstanding.
I agree with Dennis. I have the spigot jaws, but I probably use the Powergrip jaws 90% of the time.
I have had near 100% sucess with DNA soak for 24 hours, wrapping with grocery store bag paper secured around the rim with masking tape. The inside should be totally open cutting away everything all...
Mine came from Toolnut also. I really love it. Can't understand why anyone would buy the more expensive spread!
Vacuum Chuck.
Bob, that is outstanding. I definately plan to try that .
Yes, send it to me! Glad to help.
I'm really happy with my monster rig. The quality is better than most I've seen. They even made me a laser adapter for my McNaughton coring tool.
I did it from plywood once and Mark is right. It plays the devil with gouges. I don't know about particle board, but ply wood is also full of voids.
Sometimes, depending on the shape of the workpiece, you can just move the steady an inch or so.
When I bought my Monster tool, he also made me an adapter to use the laser system from it on my McNaughton tool. Works great.

I really like the display and your stoppers are great.
GO DOGS!

Ben, Go with the vacuum system. Since I built mine, about a year ago, the "jumbo jaws" and jam chucks hang on the wall unused and I gave away my Longworth chuck. The vac system and homemade vac...
Gee, I don't know how I ever found time to work 40 hours a week!
I've used Bartley's gel poly for a long time with excellant results.
Outstanding!! Is this normal for cottenwood?
Had not seen this. Looks good to me!
What's so different. I'm using one and so is a lot of other turners I know of. No problems yet.
I recently turned what I thought was a hollow form and was told "if the hole is larger than 1" it's a bowl!"
The "A" is drilled and tapped for a bed extension on the bed only. The "B" is drilled and tapped for an extension on both the bed and legs. My "A" model was made near the changeover and has the "B"...
