Sorry all!
I agree, $10 for a slimline in bulk is much more reasonable to me as a pen turner than $3.
Hi Steve,
I make pens and got my laser to go accompany my woodworking business.
A $3 pen is a terrific deal. Just the pen parts cost $1.00 for a thin plated slim line pen. Add to that a stick...
I bought/use my laser for different reasons than probably 99 percent of the folks here.
Here's a picture of my business card. Done on an Epilog Summit. Rastering and vectoring. I get the stock...
I had a similar issue, but the cause was a bonehead issue of my own (lid was not closed all the way).
Summit's are dinosaurs but still workhorses. It's the only laser I've got (and could afford at...
I'm in the process of putting a wine room's logo on leather coasters and 3x3 ceramic tiles that they place their bottles on, when on the counter.
You're right Scott...I don't visit all the other forums here that often.
Thanks for your post.
A most difficult time, no matter what circumstances.
Prayers for Keiths family for acceptance and to his Dad for a safe journey. My Dad (rest his soul) always said "Heaven's my home...I'm just...
Hard to believe what I was seeing:eek:! That's museum quality work to say the least. Simply OUTSTANDING!:):):)
Hmmmm.... I've seen that pen before...
Once again Mike, great job. Your photo's show more detail too.
Tom (Radman on TPS):D
Be very very careful Ed. I also turn pens and such and it's well known that Snakewood has a tremendous tendancy to crack. It may not crack right away, but there's a terrific chance it will before...
I've got an older Epilog Summit that I use strictly for hobby purposes and find it most adequate. Got it for about the same as the one mentioned above. Epilog still supports them as there's many...
I'd love to see a preview as well!
Thanks!
Tom
Check out: www.beartoothwoods.com . A nice variety of boxes available.

What a terrific box. The drum sticks looks awesome as well.
Very well done!
I'm not a laser engraver, but use my Epilog Summit to compliment my business which is creating primarily pens of various woods and acrylics. I wanted to have the name start with a letter towards the...
Hey Judy, that looks really nice. I'll have to do something similar for our "girls". Were the frames on closeout?
Tom
Congratulations!
Holy Moly... It's just impossible to pick a favorite and even harder to imagine doing what you've done. Those cabinet doors - stunning. A guy could hang his shingle and just do those.
It's...
Looks pretty darn nice to me! Really nice for your 1st job. Congrats!
Let us know what you laser on your cat ;)
Congrats on all the new business! Although it's a sad time for the pet owners, you're making them feel better through your craftsmanship. Very, very nice!
We're currently experiencing breast cancer now. My wife has 2nd chemo on Tuesday. I'll be happy to provide anything to help if what you received already wasn't what you were looking for.
Looks real nice Ben. Congrats on a project well done.
Is that Claro Walnut you used?
Merry Christmas,
Tom
Wow! That looks terrific. Much better than my 1st attempt. Looks like a pretty large piece of glass too. Congrats!
Tom
Holy Moly Ray...
I just spent a half hour enjoying your photos. You my friend, are truly gifted. I like the guitar made from spalted wood... and your carving... that's a whole other wonder.
