On my powermatic the banjo doesn't move. I do all the maintnace to keep it functional. The problem is the way the tool rest clamps in.

I really like Daves tools and his handles.

Personally I wouldn't spend the money on a carter and son. I don't like the handles.

If it's fruit wood, it's ok that it's a little green. Curly's will dry out fast so I would use them.

I have a ceramic smoker. I use small chunks of wood for smoking in it.
