Great work.
Brian,
Try some of the online dealers, you will have to pay shipping but will get out of the taxes. I often use Peach State lumber out of Georgia and get very nice wood from them at a good price.
Very nice work, the grain pattern looks great.
If you can afford the 15" now, no question get it.
Great score. The wood is worth that, what kind? Go rent a trailer and get that thing home and all if its freinds.
Looks good to me. Very much a one of a kind peice, but not s***. Shows good technique and can be a great conversation peice.
very well done.
Very nicely done. I feel your pain, going through the same issues with my own house.
I am not sure if your phone will stay on there when it is going good. Nice idea.
It depends on the person. Would I like a riving knife, yes. Can I live without it, yes. It is a personal desion that only you can make with the information you have.
If I had the money, I would take it.
I have the Grizzly, that is the way to go. Great tool and eats wood without missing a step. Even though it is heavy, the built in wheels makes it easy to move around.
It is good to see you and them progressing. I have two girls, and my oldest loves to be in my shop. I am looking forward to the time when I can start teaching her the love of wood working. Keep us...
I have the 12 inch with digital readout and laser, and would not trade it for anything.
I can only dream at this point, looks great.
Is it not great? I started with a skil saw, drill and a few hand tools. Now I have trouble walking around in my 12 x 24 shop with attached 10 x 12 building. Just go with it.
Very nice, great exicution.
The bench does look very good, actually much better than the one I built. Did not attempt to make you feel like a silly doof. I started out with similar tools and learned a lot as I went along. And...
It could also be that many are just beginners and are trying to absorb all of the great wisdom that is floating around. I know it took me a while to post much on this forum. It was like being on an...
If you have a miter saw, yes it would have been easier. You also could have let the short end hang off the saw horses and drop once cut, that would prevent the kick back. But, you sometimes get a...
Big vote for Jatoba. Hard as a rock, and even harder on the tools. It is great for furniture, takes a lot to dent it.
Very nice, to have lumber off your property to use instead of buying it from a mill.
Very nicely done.
Cut it out on the bandsaw and then ran it across the jointer, worked really well.
