You might want to try recutting the bottom at the joint with a taper like wine cork. You end up with more glue area and the grain still matches very close. Hope this helps.

I think the cutter just slide in the bearings and are held in by a magnet. I saw the tool in a magazine and thought I could make one just to try it out so I went to Menards and bought 3 burrs, 1...

You might want to unscrew the hose nipples (intake and outlet) out of the housing and make sure that they are not partially blocked. That was what was wrong with mine. Let us know how it turns out....

I have my own ( WALL OF SHAME ) in my shop. I use it to make me feel better when a piece comes off in one piece and becomes a happy memory instead of a nasty reminder.
