Bill all your stuff is fantastic! If I had to pick one thing it would be the middle third of HF looks a little flat. But I had to stare at it for ten minutes to think of that. I like all the...
John, I don't know of any Mustard owner who does not love their machine. I've got the "A" and love it! I bought a 6" tool rest for those little jobs where the 12" is just too big and in the way. ...

I do alot of advanced composite repairs using advanced epoxies. The most important thing to remember is to have two clean and oil free surfaces. I have made my own 3" tool rest and saved a 6" rest...
Nice work, welcome to the vortx!
Thanks for your comments. Dave, I used my Turbo Carver with a dental bit for the hats and arms. Then a 1/8" Dremel bit for the bodies. Since it took 4 tries I would estimate 40 -50 hours. But...
Fourth time’s the charm. 168 pieces of maple and walnut. 6" tall and 3" wide. Each Snowman is 3/4" tall. I had fun with the piercings, they are all different....
I have used a Sharpie, a pen style wood burner and now I use a turbo carver with a dental bit and fill it with a contrasting colored epoxy.
Nice looking bowl.
I've recieved that coment about segmentation allot on this forum but have never taken it as a negative comment. Any turning can have bad form. I've done plenty. But with help from this and other...

nice looking piece. Not sure what the plug in the center is there for. My eye's go right to it. Both of your platters are well done.

Nice work Gerold. Would not be able to know it was your first. The sorby multi tip tool can be used for this type of work. And will perform well. Maybe not the best but they work. I have and use...
Very nice work. It turned out well.

Tim I know just how difficult the geo cube is. I did it a few years ago. I agree with Malcolm about the shape. It also appears that you did not carry the cube wood species through to all the cubes...
I would be concerned if you have all the pith. No tell how much movement that will do.

Following the final glue up I made yet another jig to define the cut and trim line for the segments. Then cut and glue pairs until the ring was ready to glue up to the bowl rim. Its all really...
Third, fourth and fifth cut, glue clean and glue up.
following the first glue up the tiles are cut, routed and cleaned up for the second glue up.
