Yep I did the same thing. If it stops before it tightens on the blade then you have your flange on backwards.

Alder is used for guitar bodies.
I disagree that .012 is not close. My question is what is the Starrett spec for edge straightness of their steel rules. If your going to measure in thousandths of an inch you have make sure your...
Edward,
I live about 25 miles north of Houston and had a mini-split system installed in my 3 car garage last year. It's a Mitsubishi Mr. Slim AC/Heat Pump unit. Only thing I can say is that if...
On another note, I believe the problem (small) with this machine is the motor mount. It needs to be more ridgid as has been identified in other threads.
I posted this in another thread. For what its worth.
I think I may have been the one who originally attempted this conversion. Things got busy and I was never able to post my findings so...

First off you will have to modify...
FYI ...measured the belt and it's actually 1-1/8" wide. My upgrade got put on hold (they sent me an incorrect bearing).
Joe
What I ordered from Grizzly:
Cutterhead pulley: P0490070V2
Motor pulley: P0490225V2
Belt: P0490224V2
New pulleys are aluminum and the belt is probably close to 1-1/4" wide.
Will do. Hopefully will get to work on it tonight.
Joe
Larry,
Thanks for the reply. Just spoke with Grizzly CS and from the measurements it seems correct and they said the gap should not be a problem.
I am also upgrading the pulleys to the...
For those who have swapped, was the spindle length of the Byrd head on the side that has the pulley the same as the 4 knife cutterhead you removed?
I'm in the process of doing the swap and notice...
Does this happen across the entire length of the cutterhead?
don't know how much you want to spend but I have a Grizzly G0452 I'm getting ready to sell. It only has a couple of projects for mileage on it. I've since upgraded to an 8". Only mention because I'm...
yep I think that is way to high. You can buy a 2 ton mr. slim inverter type AC/Heat pump for 2k shipped to your door. That means they want 2 to 2.5k just for installation ...that's crazy.
Rick,
Just post a question to this subject. Mind if ask who you had install it, what size, and the cost? I had a couple quote for my garage at 4k. Seem really high to me.
Thanks,
Joe
Hey all,
just got a couple of quotes for install of a 24K btu mini split in my approx 600 sq ft garage. Both seem king of high at 4,000.00. Has anyone gotten quotes in the houston area? Does this...
Have a look at this.
you might send a mail to David Marks and ask him. He used that very system on his show quite frequently.
Thanks all for the support. Did I say yet how great this community is?
George,
Your machining comment did send me over the edge. I had shown a friend of mine this morning (fresh pair of eyes)...
Thank you Steve. I could'nt leave that one hanging out there. Just too much being said. You are correct about the offers, folks never cease to amaze.
Thanks for the pick me up but i need to take my lumps and bumps for this one. I feel so stupid. I really don't like giving false impressions about things even if it is unintentional
To all those who have read and/or responded to my thread about the arbor problem with the G0691 table saw. I am starting this new thread because I don’t want this announcement buried and lost in the...
In the the middle of assembly of my new G0691 Table Saw I found that the arbor is not threaded far enough back. While I am confident that it will be taken care of I can understand the frustration....
Toolcenter.com makes Lenox blades to whatever length you want. Suffolk does as well.
