Boot up in safe mode and run malwarebytes. should remove any malware on your system.
The Palmgren was my first lathe. I had issues with the headstock so they sent me another one. Well, it was frustrating using the lathe so i upgraded. See the picture of what my two headstocks...
I have had great success using O.B.'s shine juice.
This is part of an article explaining the shine juice:

Pete, Again very very nice platters and bowl. Is your garage filled with shavings after turning those big pieces?!!!

We have been to Florida many times and have our mind set on relocating there. We have been looking all over the east coast and have found a very nice potential house in the Satellite Beach area.

nice haul.. i will be over in a couple weeks! that should be enough wood for the ornaments.
Nice score!
I have been using the fans for a few days, then 80, then 90 then 100 for each a week. the RH dropped to ~20% at the end.
Also, the type of wood you have in the kiln really makes a difference. I...
I missed a good night. I need to run down to your house and try one of those! Great idea!

That is a great looking bowl.
After creating/finishing my first segmented bowl recently, i have a brand new appreciation for all the great segmented bowl turners on this forum.

Here are two firsts.
Segmented bowl - made from walnut and maple. Measurements 9"Wx5"h
Off center turning - The spatula was fun to make.
Not sure if i will be making these again but...
A free tool that i use quite a bit is CCleaner. It will clean up lots of uneeded files thus freeing up disk space. It also has a registry cleaner. Regularly cleaning the regisitry is a good way to...
Dan,
i am using a gast 220 pump and a 20A Double Pole Switch is all i needed.

I would blow out all the holes on the laptop to start with. You would be surprised how much dust gets in there and how much harder/hotter it makes your pc work.
Secondly run malwarebytes. this...
Bill,
Very nice bowls.
When creating the segments, are they the side grain of the wood or top?
Soon will be venturing into the segment vortex! :-)

Do most use a stem with the crush grind mechanism or the stemless ones.
I guess one advantage to the stemless is that you are not limiting the size of the mill and you do not have a knob...
I also use the same drill as Bernie from Harbor Freight.
I have had good results with sanding discs from Vince. The key is to not let the discs get too hot:

That is one sweet saw! congrats!
This has been something I wanted to build for some time now. With all the kilns being built by the members here lit a fire under me! :-)
I followed these instructions to build the kiln. ...
