I have had an HTC 2000 under my Powermatic 141 bandsaw (~400 lb) for several years, and have not had any problem with the plastic levers.

I have that planer, but I have not had the chatter issue that you describe. Does the grain of the wood change in that area? Brian

The Ridgid is a good little sander, even better when you can get a screamin' deal like you did.

I recently made a benchtop router table out of a sink cut-out that I got (free!) from a friend who remodels kitchens. Couldn't choose the color, but the price was right.

I don't know what the weight rating is for those kind of things, but I wouldn't trust them for something as heavy as lumber. Especially if a nice car, family member, etc. could be underneath.

It is my understanding that Anant bought the patterns for the Record vises when Record went out of business. I bought the middle-sized Anant recently, and am very happy with it.
