A2 can be sharpened just as easily with scary sharp as O1.I go from the grinder to 400 1000 2000 then hone on green compound. No problem getting razor sharp.I have both types of irons from LV

IF it's crowned side to side it sounds like you may have worn a grove in your stone.Do you mean the outsides are further back than the center of the cutting edge?If so make sure your stones are flat...

Harry, on my 14" delta the motor pulley is 3" and the saw pulley is 6".Belt length should be easy once he gets his pulleys.That is with a 1725 rpm motor.I don't know if the 2 to 1 ratio holds on...

Thats what I was wondering too.With a 90degree back side 1/4 round wouldn't play very nice with an outside corner!I think corner trim is needed.

I don't know that stanley made these cutters with a hole for the adjustment.Sounds like they might be cutters from before stanley put the adjustment feature on the 45.Someone may have drilled a hole...

I have no idea but that sure looks like a stanley lever cap.Is there a letter cast on the lever cap?Might help to tell if the cap is a stanley.Maybe a proto type or a craftsman built plane?

Tony is right.Goggle Gil Built band saw.It comes as a kit with wheels,guides,etc and you build the frame yourself.Try it out if you can might be a good saw if its cheap enough.18" is a nice size.
