As far as kickbacks go, they cause the vast majority of injuries. Something like 80+% or more adjusted. A riving knife is, at best, worth $3.00 and will not prevent all kickbacks but it helps. ...
The way I have set it up on my Delta Bandsaw is to put a 3 phase motor and a VFD on it. Works very well. If you need a calculator, this one works well.

I would do the steel city thing and get a granite top. Concrete is corrosive due to the limestone.

Some Jet tools have the same switch and may be bunches cheaper.
I would try blowing it out. A little dust in the wrong spot is all it takes.
Pulleys are also called sheaves.

www.grainger.com - carries Browning sheaves (pulleys)
No one mentioned the fact that the fenner belts rub up against the bottom of the table when the arbor is cranked all the way up on a Unisaw.
Seems about right to me.
My base operating bill is about $60 per month. Some months higher, some lower.
I have a problem spending $5 for a cabinet saw but if I wanted to spend that kind of money, then I would go pro. A used Northfield comes to mind.
That video has all the credibility of "Alien Autopsy" and "The Wizard of Oz".
Sure it is accurate. It would be more accurate if you had a larger span to measure.
www.owwm.com and www.owwm.org has all the info on older Unisaws.
You need a quality crimper and connectors. Properly crimped, the connector to wire junction is gas tight and it doesn't get any better than that. I have had people claim that soldering afterwards...
Worst tools?
Bosch Router table. The plastic plate flexes and you cannot get a metal plate. Sure Bosch lists the plate, but is not made. Run away from anything Bosch makes in a router table.

As far as I am concerned the Delta, be it foreign or USA made matters not. The 28-206 is my choice in new bandsaws.
As far as the shakes go, my 1985 American made delta was horrible. I had to...
While my bandsaw is smoother with a linkbelt, my jointer does not have one. I tried a linkbelt, but it was noisier and not any smoother. I attribute the lack of improvement to the small diameter...
What I find interesting is that the better the tool, the less of an improvement link-belts make and in certain cases, the link belt is noisier and not any smoother.
The overload is bad.
If I understand correctly the nameplate says 37 amps and you are drawing 24 amps or so and the overload is tripping. That to me says all is good with the motor. Your other...
Milwaukee. I bought a Paslode and took that beast back after 1 day.
Years ago I thought I was doing good to get my stuff to within 1/32 of an inch. I spent a lot of time at the bench sanders. Now I have my cuts down to about -0 +.004 and don't use the bench sanders...

Here is an interesting article on precision measuring tools.

I have cut all manner of aluminum on my Unisaw with a 60 tooth carbide blade. Feed slow and it will cut nicely. I have even cut a Unifence guide with a carbide blade. 3/8" thick aluminum plate...
