I took the advice of some fellow 'Creekers to get my shop organized after moving several months ago. Thanks to everyone who participated in that post. I took inventory and started moving things to...
It comes with a cover with a 4" port that goes over the chip chute. It isn't too bad. I used a little foam to tighten up the mating surfaces and it's pretty good.
That's really exciting, Ned! Creekers are an inspiring bunch. Keep the pictures coming!
I think the Grizzly is a fine choice. Many people are quite happy with them. The Delta at Lowe's is comparable in HP and capacity. It's a heavy machine. Don't let the open base fool you. I think...
Hi Paul,
I personally would rather have a jointer and a band saw than a router lift. Router lifts can be expensive. Many of the newer routers on the market have above-table lift mechanisms built...
Hi Tom,
Just curious.... Have you ever tried Forrest blades?
Wow, Glenn. That's a really cool idea! Flip 'n go, eh? :)
Very well stated, Bruce.
It's obvious that the machine was damaged somewhere before being delivered and that's all that should matter in this situation.
It's lucky that a woodworker found it. What are the odds?
Nice find!
How about July 4 nail gun fireworks show? :D
Hi Jerry,
You've done it some justice. That's a very nice case.
Bill, I think Incra sales just went up 150%.
Your work is truly awesome.
Agree.
I have one those Hitachis and I think it's a great router.
Like Randy said, I'd get a new blade. They are not too awfully expensive. I wish fingers were as easily replaced! I hope the flesh wound heals quickly, John. :)
Bill Pentz poo-pood the cyclone separator that started this thread.

I just found this:

That price is for either the 6" or 4". Kind of nice not to get whacked on price just because you need two more inches.
Hi Bob,
It certainly looks interesting, doesn't it? I ran across this same thing on the bay a few months ago. It seems like you can't go wrong using an existing DC with their unit being only a...
Hi Greg. Is that a new hit TV show? "Pimp My Shop" I sure wish those guys would come over and help me out! :)
Good advice. I took some measurements on my lunch break and plugged them into some...
Thank you for sharing, Brent. I'm feeling more motivated with each response. :)
Good luck on your shop, Brent.
After reading a previous post about good customer service I thought I'd share a recent experience with Jet (WMH).
I had some problems with my quick release and spring tension assembly on my Jet...
I think that's quite true. Especially the spring type gauge that comes stock on a BS. They are useless for accurately tensioning the blade.
Several manufacturers (TW & Olson both) provide good...
This is the method I would use. I have a 2" flush trim bit that sees this type of work pretty regularly.
I have to go to the borg this week for unrelated items. I'll check on that stand while I'm there. I have two seldom used power tools that could benefit from that treatment.
I wonder if they make...
