I also agree with the others (smaller Collar). I would have brought the top up (more round) to blend the collar. Just my opinion, what do I know. I think the basic shape is very appealing.

This is what I have done for years. I have a hydraulic copy lathe, hopper fed. Send me a drawing and I will quote it for you. 1000 pcs is a nice order.

I love the old heavy equipment. Learned to turn on that machine in HS a long time ago. Have fun.
Steve, try a circular polarizer lens on your camera. I couldn't believe how much it cut down the glare.
This was done for Icon Design LLC out of N.Y. Some fancy designer dreamed this one up. Table top is 16" D x 3" T and base is 10"D x 6" tall post is 22". Unfinished African Mahogany (kaya Ivorensis)....
Has any one out there used the golden rule as it would be applied to round forms. I see it on the lamination pro software but it doesn't list it in the help menu. I have always just turned until I...

Nice work Doug keep it coming. Isn't it something how they will charge $7 bd' for cherry and think nothing of using 7" cherry bds for the pallet. I wonder if they do that just to bug us. I found one...

What did you use for cutting? I haven't read Malcom's book, maybe I should, but I did watch the video on seggies' dream. I'm not sure how he does it, but looks time consuming. It shouldn't...
Holly (Ilex Opaca) is a hardwood. If it is really important to identify this wood maybe I can help. A simple way is to dip a small piece in water and take a thin slice with a razor, any sharp cutting...
Sorry Ken, I'ld love to take you up on that offer but they were in my possession only long enough for the finish to dry. It took four days to do those. I can do them again for ya
