  1. Different Sizes!

    Dan,

I don't know if you have ever handled these planes in person, but the 102/103 and the 9 1/2 - 60 1/2 planes are significantly different in size. That is what is making up the big price...

The absolute best muffs are either the Peltor H10A, or the LEIGHTNING L3. They both have NRR of 30.

To correct some wrong information that I posted. The cutterhead that I just received from Byrd has 4 rows of 10 instead of the previously thought 3 rows of 13. I dont know if Byrd changed their...

    Thanks, but more questions.

    Jim and Larry,

Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it.

I did not think brushing USL was an option. I guess it really boils down to which one is more water and wear resistant?

    Thanks,...

    Not yet!

    Larry,

I have been keeping an eye on it, and I do not believe that the MDF itself has absorbed any water. Just wondering if I did something wrong with the Pro-Classic, as it didnt take long to...

    John,

I have a byrd head on my jointer and love it. I also have a DW735....so you can see where this is going.

As for the price. The larger planers have a larger diameter cutting head, which...

    Useable wood?

Do you have a specific project in mind that you need this lumber for? Also, are they rough, or surfaced at the 1.5" dimension?

Although the boards sound great, you need to think about how you...

    More info.

    Matt,

What gauge wire and what size breaker were you using on the saw for the 110 circuit?

Also, what gauge wire and size breaker did you use for the 220 run?

And how far of a run is it...

    Equal

    John,

The saw's motor will run the same on either voltage in practical terms.
There may be very small variations between running it on 220 vs 110, but it is probably less than 1/10th of 1%...
  14. Easy to do

    Matt,

The incra has the ability to do this. I have done it to mine, but unfortunately I am not at home to take pics of it for you. I have the 1000se also, and it came with instructions on how...

  16. Yes, thanks

    Mike,
Thanks for the reply. I am familiar with a rabetting ledge on other non parrallelogram jointers, but I couldnt see this being used for that. It is so small, and seems to me that it would be...

When I did mine I closed the vise jaws as tight as if i was working on a piece of wood, which is pretty tight. Also, you may move the front jaw around if you dont close it tight enough....
  19. Amana Prestige

I really like the Amana Prestige blade. Model number PR1040. It is a 40 tooth, and the only drawback I have ever found with it is that it is a .134 Kerf instead of a .125 kerf. I guess this only...

    Unfortunately not.

    David,

I do not know what psi the frame can deliver? I am usually running it at a much lower tension than it can deliver. I can give it more tension, but the cut doesnt get any better!

my G0513 does just fine with the timberwolf 1" blade that I got for it.
