For $4500.00 I'd be looking elsewhere.
I purchased the Lyle Jamieson hollowing system about 12 yrs ago and am completely satisfied. Never once have I had a problem and have turned wood down to as little as 1/16 of an inch with no problem....
I'd check there first.
Hi Scott. If you are using an oily wood suck as Cocobola I've found that sanding to a high grit finish and simply using any kind of oil burnished in at speed makes a slick finish that wears well. It...
Thank You Bob for the info. I already ordered and installed the PM part though. I will however keep this info for later if I ever need another one. Would have saved me around 400.00 or so. Live and...
Well the new part came in last week and today I installed it. It has a little fan that blows air to cool off something. Lathe now runs good as ever. Put a big piece of Rosewood on it immediately and...
I will take a look at that board. I called PM this morning and the new part is 554.00 shipped to my door. A little solder seems like a better deal. Thanks everyone for the help!
My PM 3520a is showing an error code occ. It will run if I play with it but will not restart unless I play some more. The lathe sat unused for a couple yrs after and auto accident and was working...
Any new blade will most likely be far better than the original blade on your chop saw. 12" blades are typically more expensive than smaller blades because of their size. Put a good blade on that...
I bought a Fein vac about 10 yrs ago. It has served me well. I like the idea of two motors in the vac. One motor actually cools the other which works well when using vacum chucks on my wood lathe.
I use a Long Ranger 110v remote and an a/c contactor set w a 110v coil. Less than $100.00 and is very reliable.
Had mine nearly 5 yrs. Replaced headstock bearings a while back. Built like a tank. I prefer it to the Jet for speed changes and on-off switch location. For $175.00 I'd buy it.
Next Sat Woodcraft is marking down the entire store 15%. Free shipping. Might be something to consider.
Buy a cyclone.
My neighbor has the ''mini cyclone'' from Clearvue. It is simply fantastic. I have the large Clearvue in my shop and am way more than just satisfied. My wife and I are hoping to drive up and see Ed...
How many and how often do you plan on using a duplicator?
My favorite turning tool. I hope you were able to get the Ellsworth sharpening jig with it. Properly sharpened this tool rarely will see a catch.
Thank You.
That would be me as well except I tried other things. JDS air filter, $600.00 worth of fans:eek: , $450.00 for an 1100 Jet DC w/ cannister, $200.00 for Chinese DC:eek:   ,...
Of the trhee I'd get the Bosch!:D
My shop unit has 3 or4 "Mode" settings which causes my a/c to operate differently depending on the "Mode" setting. Check your manual, maybe a setting change will help.
Oneway is a class act totally. I buy my tools from them direct instead of my local supplier. I always enjoy the conversation and the people are great help if I need it. I first met them at the AAW...
I have 2 Canon Rebel xti digital cameras. They perform perfectly. My advice....... get one.
I have the torbo III and it simply works. I use the bags and the hepa filter. I'm in the process of remodeling my home and what goes in the vac stays in the vac and is hands down the quietest vac I...
Save yourself a lot of time and money. Buy a cyclone. Mine is a Clearvue that keeps my a/c'd shop pretty much dust free.
