Ok. Its 3 hands and a little more, prob another 2-3 inches. And definitely at least 1 3/4 thick, but prob 1 7/8.

I have bought rough-sawn, air-dried walnut several times now. You may be buying 1k bd feet, but unless it was really REALLY dried well, you can probably count on a much higher than normal waste...
